My HG:

Lv. 54 Pidgeot
Lv. 68 Ampharos
Lv. 57 Typhlosion
Lv. 55 Gyarados
Lv. 52 Donphan
Lv. 51 Crobat

It was a very makeshift team, because I didnt get Golbat until Victory Road, (It evolved after fighting Koga,) I only had Quilava up until Goldenrod Gym, I caught a pidgey on route... err, i forget, it was near Goldenrod. Donphan I got in victory road, ( i think, it's been a while) And i got mareep on route 30 something. I did beat red with this team, but instead of crobat, i used lugia. XD

SoulSilver:

The rest of my team is going to be:

Tangrowth
Dragonite

But i can't get them until after the whole team rocket thing....

I may also use a larvitar from the safari zone...
 
On HeartGold:

Typhlosion - Explotaro - HM08 Rock Climb
Heracross - Heraco - HM04 Strength
Sunflora - Sintaro - HM01 Cut
Ambipom - Pomi - HM06 Rock Smash (with Technician, this is a beastly move)
Quagsire - Woop - HM07 Waterfall
Nidoking - Nidoking (lv.70 EV'd) - I was planning on getting a Rhydon, but...this can learn HM03 Surf, and use it due to the EV spread, so it's more useful.

Yeah, I now build in necessary HMs to my team...I can travel everywhere bar Dragon's Den and the Whirl Islands. Neither of which are especially needed, as I am currently @ Violet City, on my way to Ecruteak City to battle the Kimono Girls.
 
Marowak: My teams MVP in the fighting category. I never expected him to end up as strong as he is but he really, really surprised me.

Corsola: Corsola has amazing defense and also knows Recover so he hasn't been KO'd in a long time. He's all around a very tough Pokemon and one of my absoloute favorites. :)

Natu: I just caught him yesterday. I've used a Natu/Xatu before, I love teaching them moves like Me First and Confuse Ray because it makes battling a lot of fun. :P
 
my heartgold team consists of

feraligatr
pidgeot
ampharos
growlithe (have yet to recieve a fire stone)
gloom (have yet to recieve a leaf stone)
and nidoking.
all are just entering the level fortys and i just arrived at the pokemon league.
 
I've recently restarted SoulSilver, so my team is pretty basic. I'm about to challenge the 3rd (Normal) Gym, so as I said, it's a fairly inexperienced team.

Teddiursa Lv. 23
(Traded from Pt)
Return, Attract, BulkUp, FaintAttack.

My strongest Pokemon. Attract, then unleashing BulkUp 'till Attack and Defense stats are maximum. Then using Return. I have yet to find a foe who has survived it.

Bayleef Lv. 22
(Starter Pokemon)
HeadButt, Synthesis, RazorLeaf, PoisonPowder.

Mainly a support Pokemon, although it posses the power to be on the assualt when needed. I'm thinking of teaching it SunnyDay and SolarBeam, which couple well with Synthesis.

Flaffy Lv. 21
(Caught on Route 32)
HeadButt, Growl, ThunderShock, ThunderWave

Obviously I'll change Growl for something more effective. But for now, Growl is fine. Flaffy works as a secondary fighter if Teddiursa becomes too weak to fight. I'm just waiting to teach it ThunderPunch as Attack is it's highest stat due to his Adamant nature.

So that's my team, however these are a few Pokemon I'm planning on adding to my team.

Girafarig

One of my favourite Psychic-Type Pokemon. It's Normal type extra gives it immunity to Ghost moves, one of Pyschic-Types main weaknesses.

Lapras

Another one of my favourite Pokemon. I find that Water/Ice-Types work perfectly together.

Unknown Fire-Type

Still looking into Fire-Types to choose from. The most obvious choice would be a Vulpix/Ninetails as they are found near the Park area, which is where I have been training. Although I could always go for;

Magmar,
Slugma,
Houndour,

Although I could always trade something from Pt to SS. Which seems the most likely, and easy option. So that's my team,

Yeah, this is my team. I traded over my Gallade, Shiftry and Camerupt from my Diamond and Emerald Games. I'm pretty proud of my team too.....

Maybe you should add a nice electric or grass type? Or maybe it's just me, because I just can't do without electric types, lol.

My current team is a solo-runner Quilava xD Soon to be replaced with EVd pokemon from my signature (when I finnaly trade them over from Diamond).
