4th Gen When catching a pokemon!

I don't normally do anything when I am catching a Pokemon. Will sometimes click L+R but not that often.

Well, seeing as it doesn't effect the chances of you catching a pokemon, I find no need to press buttons. I do mumble stuff though, but not because I think it will catch it. It's more like thinking out loud.
