<I see.> I said, then whirled around, growling. I could feel mass amounts of energy gathering right behind me, and i knew. Fire was here.

The energy almost knocked me off my feet, I hadn't felt anything like ift before, not ever. "What is that?" I asked, too suprised to really think about what it must be...

<fire.> I said, as in a sudden bout of flame, he appeared out of seemingly nowhere, sending flames throughout the hallway. "so, sibling. Again, you were the first to awaken, and again, the one to meet your doom." He said, and i could feel almost a compeling urge to go straight to him. without really thinking, I took a step toward his waiting claws.

I took a step back in shock, and pulled out the jewel from one of the pockets in my coat. It had been centuries since it had been created, so it would take a moment to activate. Without hesitation, I began feeding power into it to liven it up quicker, activating the spell within it...

Without warning, Fire lashed out at me, forcing off my illusion, and he shifted to that i was knocked to the ground, as I was a good deal smaller than him. Suddnly, a hurricane-force wind knocked him off me, as i got to my feet with a growl.

The soulgem had just activated itself fully, and the spell took effect. The actual gem had been used a long time ago, but usiing the basis, I managed to build up it's power again over the years, and turned it into a shapeshifting spell. I began to grow, my scales giving way to skin that was every bit as strong, and my coloring changing to a deep orange...

"well well, looks like the sister has a guardian. How sweet. almost romantical." Fire said with a smirk, before releasing a bout of white-hot flame at him, as he tossed me aside. i gave a yelp of pain as I hit the wall, but I was far from out.

"I think you've done enough damage." I said, smoke bilowing form my mouth, fire building up in my throat. I felt the massive power this form had, and decided not to hold myself back...

Fire sent another burst of fire at him, and not caring about what might happen, I started to approach the fight, a sinking feeling in my stomach.

I suddenly heard a voice in my mind, not his, but it was my own. I couldn't let him die. Suddenly, Fire changed targets, sending a flame attack toward me, causing me to use a burst of wind to reflect most of the assult

I would have been suprised at her prowess at reflecting attacks so effortlessly, had I not been focusing the fire within me, and sent a powerful blast, focused and directed right at the dragon...

<NO!> I yelled, getting in between the blows, also being forced to take one of Fire's red-hot blasts. "Air!" Fire yelled, though it was too late.

I cut off my attack as soon as I heard her, but I wasn't quick enough. It could have been worse though. I the smoke from my attack filled my field of vision, and I had to let it clear before I went after her though...

Fire raised onto his back legs, using his wings to clear the smoke. Once the smoke cleared, it revealed a literally flaming pheonix. "well, sister. I had forgotten that morphing had been one of your powers." Fire said. I nodded, and flapped my wings, flaming embers scattering from my wings, and falling to the floor, glowing for a few seconds before burning out.

I simply stood there, stunned. First they seemed to be cold enemies, now they talked like friends that hadn't seen eachother in a few years. Not to mention that I didn't even know if Cirrus could morph before, let alone to something as powerful as a phoenix...

I slowly morphed back into my dragon form, and I suddenly felt myself in Fire's embrace. "Glad you're still alive. And glad that for once you woke up and the world's not ending." Fire said with a laugh.

When I heard this, my jaw droped, and I sat down just like a dog would, as I didn't have much confidence in my ability to stand. This didn't make any sense, and didn't show signs of making sense any time soon...

<a rather.. vilont joke, don't you think?> I asked Fire, without paying much attention to Smaug. "I can't predict the future. How as I supposed to know your friend would take it seriously?" he responded. I shook my head, before forcing him off me.

At this, I came back to the present, and said "Maybe because it isn't typical for siblings to try murdering eachother in someone else's house when they're just kiding." I said, my voice was slightly harsh, though I was smiling from relief that Cirrus was okay.
