ooc: I intend on making her a more dynamic character and to give her reasons as to why she did the things she did.
ic: "What are you doing around here moonlight?" I said threateningly. " Don't tell me you forgot already. It was only a day or two ago. I told you to never come near me or my friends again."
"I remember." She said reproachfully.
"Then what are you doing here?"
"What's it to you?" She declared angrily. "You're just going to kill me, aren't you?" Something began to bother me. Normally Moonlight would be calm and collected and had this odd nack for speaking in a sultry voice towards me. But right now she seemed very upset and Distraught aobut something.
"What are you doing here?" I asked again.
"Just kill me already." She spat.
'i'm not going to kill you because then I get no answers." i said patiently. "Now what are you doing here? I can hold you here all day if I like, I've got no where else to be." She glared at me but finally relented.
"I was running away." She sighed.
"From who?"
"From my Father." My eyes opened wide in surprise when she said that.
" But you, Eclipse, and lil bro each killed your dads a long time ago."
"don't you think I know that?!" She declared agnrily. "Somehow he was brought back to life. He punished both me and lil bro severely and told us to go convert your angel friends into demons. After we failed in teh fight that got lil bro killed, Father punished me with 100 lashes folowed up with two days in a solid steel box." I whinced as she recounted her punishment. I hadn't realized how harsh her life was.
"He decided I needed an insentive the next time around. I had been watching you since you arrived in this world."
"You have?" i said in surprise, somewhat bashful that she had been eyeing me since day one. She nodded.
"Father knew it too. He told me how to reawaken your demon heritage, and how to use it to control you. He said if I pulled it off, I could..." She suddenly realized what she was about say and looked down , seemingly rather embarrassed.
" What?" I implored. "What did he say you could do?"
"He said I could... keep you. use the control spell so you'd be near me when ever I wished it."
"Keep me?" I said, somewaht perplexed.
"You fascinate me." she admitted, still not looking up. " You're so strong and an excellent fighter. You're so noble and always try to fight for what's right. I was overjoyed when I was told I could have you with me."
I began to blush profusely. All those times she was obviously flirting, I thought she was just messing with me. She was actually very serious.
"But after the spell was broken, I figured you may start to like me by youself without me forcing you to, especially after you had decided not to kill me last time. At that point I hadn't cared whether or not I was successful in the mission. But Father was furious. He punished me evenmore serverely than last time. He branded me, ran spears through me, cut off fingers and toes, I would have so many scars to show you if it weren't for my demon ability to heal any non-fatal injury." She began to cry as she recalled her torturous punsihment. I relaly felt sorry for her now, and I felt like I should comfort her. But it just seemed so odd, last time we had met we where enemies and now here she was, telling me her deepest secrets and crying her heart out.
"I'm.. really sorry." i said to her. She nodde her head, nt erally aknowledging teh apology. " After that, he decided that no one demon could cut it and he began sending droves of demon minions out to do teh job."
"so that is where all those demons came from.' i said thoughtfully. "That is a very interesting story, but you still have yet to tell me why you came here."
"I was hoping to warn you and possibly even join up with you and your friends. Possibly do some family bonding. Us half breeds Aren't inherently evil, we're just forced to do what our parents tell us or what our instincts urge us to do. You're where quite lucky brother, being raised by a human family. You didn't have to indure the constant suffering me and eclipse had growing up. But i was a fool coming here. After what happened last time, I'd have to be crazy to hope your friends would accept me." She began crying harder as her self pity sank in. "I suppose your going to kill me now." She sobbed.
"No. No I'm not." I decided. Moonlight finally looked up at me, her face streaked with tears. "Eclipse was given a chance at a happy life." I continued. " And I'm going to let you have yours." She smiled with joy and threw her arms around me in a hug, resting her head on my shoulder as she continued to cry. I was taken by surprise, but patted her back comfortingly as she cried her sorrows away.
ooc:And there you have it. Moonlight is one very dynamic character now, and the way I see it, no reason is better for doing things you don't want to do than threats of severe pain and a possible romance interest. :D I also created room for a possible new villian,being whoever brought Moonlight's Father back to life. Not quite done with the conversation though, so I need about one or two more posts before Donovan and Moonlight rejoin the group.
