WHAM!
A raptor takled my side. Then more came running.
I had slept in the tree I hid in, then after a quick fly, I had landed to look for food. But I had landed in the wrong place.
Both the raptors and I were of equal size, but there were more of them. After being torn through my side, I had had enough. I opened my wings, revealing eye spots, which made the raptor stop and think for a second. This gave me enough time to run to a nearby cliff, jump, and flap up into the air. A lone raptor was still nipping at me, as the air thermals were difficult to catch near the earth, but as I flapped madly, I finally caught one. Now it was my turn. I dove down like a hawk at the one raptor. At the last moment I flung my head and outstretched my ivory talons, grabbing the creature by its throat. I had found my lunch, but I had to eat it fast, because the smell of blood would bring more raptors, and maybe even bigger preditors.
