... Do you prefer a soft, fluffy, warm cosy towel, or a rough, hard, abrasive and exfoliating towel?

Both have their pros and cons, what do you think?

I don't like the fluff a soft towel leaves all over you, and I never feel properly dried with a soft fluffy towel.

I don't care, a towel is a towel. That's all there is to it.
HOWEVER. I have a towel in my house that leaves the umm, cotton parts on me. It's a pain to get off and it looks like I have bruising all over my body since the towel is purple. x_x

That's what I hate the most too, and what really spurred me on to make this thread. I have noticed at least in my household, there are two types of towel. The soft fluffy ones that do this, and the ones that are practically like cardboard.

Getting out of the shower is the worst part fml. I just use plain cotton towels, not sure about the fluff to abrasive ratio but they do the job!

What really sucks though is when you wake up in the morning and find out you don't have any clean towels and don't have time to do a load. I end up using like two of the half size washcloth towels and I feel exposed. :x

Velvet-like materials (for the purposes of this thread, that is the feel of some soft towels) give me the same feeling most people get from chalkboard squeaks. This is usually and especially so when I've been wet for some time. Needless to say that, as a result, I only want to use rough towels.

OMG YOU READ MY MIND ABOUT THE VELVET TOWELS. Well I mean, it's not that make me twitch but I hate using them because they don't absorb water well 9_9 My parents think they're fancy or something but GAH THEY DON'T DO THE JOB! Rough, worn towels for the win!

I honestly don't care. If it gets me dried up and keeps me warm, I'm all good.

Well rough towels dry better, so if I'm in a hurry to get dried I will go for the rougher ones, but I am such a fan of soft things, I love using soft towels, I just don't always have time...

I guess I've never used a fluffy towel before, because I've never had any problems with mine. I don't really care though, they're all the same to me.

Meh, I don't really care. A towel's a towel. :| As long as it gets the job done efficiently and it's not some short little rag thing that doesn't dry anything, it's okay in my book.

If I had to choose one, I'd probably go for the soft towel. They're so much better, and I tend to slow in the mornings anyway so I don't really care as long as I'm warm. Usually I just grab the first unused towel I can find though. Getting out of the shower is my main worry. I hate being cold.

I like soft and fluffy to lie on at the beach but for showers I like the rough hard towels, as they get me dry easier :)

I hate getting out of the shower. I want a warm towel. Thats all my needs lol.

I don't care I just use towels to get dry.

I like slightly rougher ones, but I don't like drying with concrete.

Nothing's better than getting out of a warm shower after track practice and burying your face into a soft, fluffy towel. Well, it gets its job done. I feel properly dry with them.

However, it's not always the case. I have to dry myself with one of those rough, hard ones.. most of the times.

I use a plain cotton towel on most occasions, and I think it's more soft than rough. So yeah, I like my towels soft. But I think a towel needs to be a little rough too. An equal ratio perhaps?

The un-fluffy one. The fluffy one gets wet too easily, so I like the hard un-fluffy one.
