and ninjaman, gaMEFREAK NEVER CONFIRMED ANYTHING ABOUT WHERE THE OTHER REGIONS ARE.

SORRY BOUT THE ALL CAPS, MY CAPS LOCK IS STUCK AND I DON'T FEEL LIKE HOLDING SHIFT.
 
if you look at that picture of shanghia that someone posted, and turn it to the side so the water is at the bottom, it kinda looks like isshu

1. Another Country made those clothes and another Country started that style
2. Shanghai is a huge city, Sydney is a large city and many other places are a large city
3. Lots of places have rivers
4. America isn't the only place to have a bridge
5. Lots of places have an amusement park, not just America
6. Lots of Countries have an island or two
7. There are mountains everywhere in every Country
8. Parks everywhere!
9. Airports everywhere!
10. The only way to get from one Country to another is by boat or airplane

Wow, I didn't think I would find a way to make all your points moot.
 
Serebii here said he thinks its New York not sure if its real but Serebii can clarify if it is or isn't. Zet is just mad that it isn't Australia

Prob a Memorial in the translation at least saying something happened there and some Pokemon got hurt or something that avoids the word died...

Well that sounds nice, though it's kind of sad to think about it...they could put ghost pokemon around the memorial too...as most memorials have been the place we find ghost pokemon...

Well, not only would that seal the deal about it being (at least partially) based on NYC, it would provide us with our Lavender Tower/Mt. Pyre/Memorial Tower for this generation.

No, Serebii is not an all-seeing prophet for all Pokemon. When it gets down to it, he's just a fan like you and me and his opinion means nothing more than anyone else here. Maybe Serebii hates that green abomination of a Pokemon you have in your avatar, but does that instantly make Greeny the Blob Bear a bad Pokemon?

I'm with you about it being NY, but still.

On the subject of the Twin Towers, it'd be best not to even remotely address or parody something like that in these games. Someone will get peeved about it. They banned an episode and changed the title of another because of that horrid incident, remember?
 
If it is New York they can just replace the Twin Tower area with something else. Or they could just leave it out

Yeah but if you think about it he is a really involved fan... you and I couldn't say we know more than Serebii as he covers all bases so he can prob think like GameFreak does... Never said he was an all-seeing prophet... But Serebii's vote for NY means more than some kid who only played DPPt or something...

Yeah and I loved that episode... it made the episode right after it confusing (it removed a character and they said "Oh its ____" and she was like NO THATS MY TWIN which makes no sense because the banning removed the whole meeting of the first twin...

I suppose that's true, but they're still plenty of other involved fans out there that support other theories, so it really doesn't matter who supports what, just the evidence that they have with them.

Yeah he has more credibility but I think he knows as much about the region as we do considering that Gf never confirms this stuff anyways...
 
Hey guys, now that we have the 'Liberty Ticket' do you think it's another reference to America/NewYorkCity? The second that I heard it I immediently thought of the USA... =/
 
^the guy above^ makes a good point the new event item that grants access to the new legendary is called the "Liberty Ticket", it does make a slight Nudge in the NYC direction
