    I haven't been on this forum and playing pokemon ever since my platinum game became broken -_- (in July). So I was just thinking to buy a new game but don't know which one. Should I wait for Black or White to come out in spring or should I buy Heartgold or Soulsilver? I'm not really a fan of Generation 5 and the all new in game stuff, but I also heard from people that HeartGold/SoulSilver doesn't have much of a lasting appeal. Is the pokewalker worth it too? Cause I have enough to buy a pre-owned game which doesn't have a pokewalker included.

    Who said HGSS didn't have a lasting interest? I personally love it and can't get enough of it. If you really, really don't like gen V stuff, then I suggest just getting HGSS now, and maybe waiting til after BW is out for a while and deciding from there. I'm playing White right now, and it's really great, and I didn't know any of the new features that would be in it because I avoided spoilers. But my best suggestion to you would be to just get either HeartGold or SoulSilver and give BW some more thought and wait a while after it comes out. Besides, by the time it does come out, I'm sure you will have saved up enough to get it, and maybe your interest will have built up.

    About the Pokewalker, I'd just buy a used copy that doesn't include it. I never use mine, it's not really worth it. It's fun the first few times though, but nothing that great.

    If it were me, I'd wait until B/W came out. But if you really oppose it get HGSS. It is definitely worth it, in my opinion, especially if you are the gen. II nostalgic type of person. =)

    In fact I'm playing it right now, the only bad thing about it is my version is in Japanese I can't read half of it.
    But you won't have that problem. x)
     
    IMO heartgold wasn't very lasting (and that was my first time playing Gold/Silver). Pokemon B/W looks good, you should be able to warm up to the new features, and the beautiful design of Unova should help you get over it. If it's the pokemon designs that you dislike then bear in mind that you only have to use them 'till the national dex.
     
    Get HG/SS if you can't wait till next spring for B/W. They're great games.
     
    You know what.. I'm going to buy soulsilver tomorrow :] I wanna go back to gaming and some trading. I am stilll no fan of generation V :[ but maybe later next spring I'll think about it. You can lock this thread? I forgot...would you ask the moderator to do this xD Haven't been on in so long.
