The hardest for me was Clair. But that was probobly because crystal was my first ever pokemon game and I had no idea what I was doing
 
During this playthrough of crystal: none. I've OHKOed most of the Gym Leaders' pokemon so far. Falkner with Rocky (onix trade), Bugsy with Cyndaquil/Quilava, OHKOed Witney with the in-game trade of Machop, Morty died by Eevee, Jasmine and Pryce with my Quilava, Chuck with Kadabra... this game isn't challenging at all. I think the most challenging about this is catching Suicune. >_<
 
Ohhh.... I think Whitney too ! But also Morty ! I remember : That was the match my Togepi evolved ! I remember he also use used hyper beam during battle ( F**K ghost TYPEES ) cus of Metronome ! I was underleveled too ...
 
Morty. Hypnosis + Dream Eater = ****ING GRRRRRRRRR *Destroys Gameboy*.
 
God, Whitney was hard. See, she had normal-type Pokemon with crazy defences and I couldn't beat her easily. Gahh :(
 
I accidently put Claire, but I meant Whitney. I remember when I was younger, her Miltank was literally a tank, It took so long for me to beat it.
 
Whitneys Miltank was on Lv.20, right?
I guess that pokemon was hard to beat, but I can't remember that so well...

Anyways, the Johto Gym Leaders were a little bit weak...
I mean...Claires strongest Pokemon was a Kingdra on Lv.40...
Even Giovanni had a stronger Pokemon in Red/Blue. It was a Rhydon on Lv.50.
I hope that the Gym Leaders in HG/SS will have stronger Pokemon...

There is a thread about this. Me, and a few other people, have commented that ALL the trainers should have stronger Pokemon.
 
For me it was Whitney. When ever I got her Miltank down in to the red, it used that stupid milk attack thing. :|
 
Definitely Whitney, her Milktank would destroy my team using rollout
 
Whitney is a hardest due to her Miltank that has milk drink and high defence XD
 
WHITNEY! She is evil I tell you, EVIL!!!

Gosh, it took me like five tries to beat her.
 
Whitney, closely folled up by Clair.

Clair's Kingdra is a beast, while Whitney's Milktank is simply the spawn of the Devil.
 
it was claire i chose cindaquil she kept using thunder wave and whitney on hg she kept using rollout and milk drink and atract she was annoying
 
Whitney was tougher than Clair. Clair was beaten in 1'st attempt while Whitney took 17 attempts. And, one thing is common between them. That just after their loss they don't give badges straightaway..
 
Whitney was hard for me when i was lil now she was easy as because i just beat her with my flaffy and quillava Thunder wave flame wheel
 
claire was pretty tough for me

she kept on using her Kingdra's surf on me, especially on my Typhlosion

and using thunder wave as well, I had alot of attempts b4 I could beat her by luck
