    ok...I have to ask, which move is better

    Curse or Bulk up

    they do the same thing, (obviously i'm not talking about a ghost type here)

    for like a "curselax" ok so I know that snorlax has absolutely dismal speed

    but why do so many people apparently favor CURSE over BULK UP

    they both do the same thing except that bulk up doesn't lower your

    pokemon's speed, the only reason that I can see for someone favoring

    CURSE over BULK UP is because on the off chance that you fight something

    with PSYCK UP you wouldn't want a probably faster pokemon to be stronger

    than you, but as far as I'm aware it's only special sweepers that carry such

    moves which would mean that their atk raiting would be crap anyway

    so PSYCH UP would be pretty much wasted except for the defense which

    is still usually very low for special sweepers. so um...yeah, just can someone

    give me some insight as to why this is?

    ..oh and don't bring up my curselax 'cuz my friend bred it for me and

    he did it with curse in mind 'cuz he just thinks it's super, it's a cool move

    but I still prefer bulk up...even though I only have the one but still

    it's just better

    Snorlax can't learn bulk up.Also other physical sweepers can learn psych up,medicham,solrock...
     
    None, I prefer Ancientrock because it raises all of your stats
     
    I like Bulk Up way better.
    But the problem is that Curse is more popular, because of the existance of the Curselax and Curse Battonpass Umbreon.
     
    Bulk up is actually better than curse they're mainly the same, but bulk up doesn't decrease your speed.
     
    Oops forgot about psych up, bulk up is better for ingame playing and curse for netbattle.
     
    -_-' I don't really think there is "better." It all comes down to what Pokemon is using it, the rest of the moveset, and which one it learns. Like Curselax, it can't learn Bulk Up so it either uses Curse itself or gets it from Umbreon. And I can't think of an example for a Pokemon using Bulk Up at the moment, so that's all. o_o'

    But if you're just going to only consider the stat changes and nothing else, then Bulk Up would be "better".

    Of course Bulk Up is better. But Curse is more popular ^^
     
    Curse is used more because most pokemons can learn it ex:swampert, snorlax, umbreon,etc...but in attack boosting moves I go with sword dance.
     
    Curse and Bulk Up don't do the same thing. Bulk Up raises Attack and Defense, and Curse does that and lowers Speed.
     
    Why is Curse(except for Ghosts) better than Bulk Up? If you can increase ATK and DEF w/out SPD-, why lose SPD if you don't have to?
