Which Pokémon should be added to the roster?

Bisharp, man. That would be rad, having him be either Standard or Power type. For one, he could be dignified and respectful in personality. He can use Metal Burst as a command counter like Garchomp's Stone Edge or Weavile's Taunt, which deals back half the damage rounded down of the attack that struck it. As an approach tactic, like Sceptile's flash step (or whatever it's called), he can use Feint Attack, which can be cancelled out of. Swords Dance (which works like Machamp's Bulk Up) or Iron Defense (which lets him take half the damage of 1 Pokemon move) will be his neutral-A, while Night Slash will be his back-A, like Weavile (I think). For an up-A, he can use Iron Head.

Going into Burst Mode, his body turns all shiny like a newly polished set of armor. I think it'd be cool if they named his Burst Attack after a chess move, something like, "Checkmate Guillotine."

As for a Big Bad type of character, Hoopa Unbound. Think about it. He'll be like the Dio Brando of Pokken Tournament, but instead of controlling time, he uses black holes. I even hope he gets a speaking role, and he shares the same seiyuu with Dio.

Suddenly I'm reminded of that favorite episode of mine from the anime. The one with the Fighting Pokemon tournament.

Hitmonchan since Pokken needs their Steve of Tekken fame expy. Seriously speaking, the boxing mon would be an excellent addition to the game. Its moveset can easily be consisted of the elemental punches, comet punch, Bullet Punch as that super fast high priority attack, and many many more. Hitmonchan's style of gameplay can easily be similar to that of Steve or Street Fighter's Balrog which emphasizes speed and timing in order to gap close on faces.

Goodra - Slow and tanky fighter

We don't really have a seriously slow and bulky character yet. I'm talking King Dedede in Smash 4 levels of slow and bulky here. For a passive effect, it could ignore the flinching and stunning effects of most projectile attacks, considering Goodra is mostly used as a specially-defensive wall in the main series games, and hey, it's a pure dragon. Most of the projectile attacks used in Pokken Tournament would do absolutely nothing against it in the main series.

If Goodra were in Pokken, I imagine it would have a ton of super slow but hard-hitting attacks, with most of its heavy attacks having super armor on startup.

Aegislash - Hyper-technical fighter

Aegislash could have two different stances, each with a different moveset and different defense stats, with one input in each set being relegated to just changing stances.

Attack Stance Aegislash is really fast and powerful with a ton of combo potential and a bunch of mixup options. To make up for that it takes double damage from all attacks.

Defense Stance Aegislash is heavy on defensive moves that knock opponents back a great distance, stun them, or debuff them.

Wobbufet - Counterattack fighter

Has standard stats. His main gimmick is his counterattack; it does double the damage of whatever attack he absorbs while charging it.

I may sound very biased, but Scrafty would have a great part in it.
Mostly because of it's height and body type, making it great for attacks in such a game and also great when fighting others because let's be honest, Scrafty is not tall. (Though Pikachu is still there to be the no. #1 small-o.)

Especially because I can think of its moveset to look in that game like a weird break dancer.
