    Hope this is the right section for a random pokémon-related question like this.
    I saw this interesting question posed on another Pokémon forum. What poké-names do you think would make good, cool, or at least decent names (for people), if any? Like, if you had to give your kid a Pokémon name, what would it be?
    Of course, the list of ones you'd NEVER want to see as a name would be much longer, I think, but…here goes. XD

    I could see these as names:

    Cresselia (my fave; it's really pretty. I also came across the name Crescenza and really like it...)
    Armaldo
    Altaria
    Persian (well not Persian, but Persia, perhaps)
    Goldeen
    Kirlia
    Linoone
    Roselia
    Aron (this one already is a name pretty much)
    Misdreavus (kinda like that...)
    Ariados
    Eevee (already a nickname, kinda…Evie)
    Milotic
    Banette (like Annette with a B)
    Glalie
    Starly (actually Starla), maybe Staravia
    Luxio
    Chatot (I'm not sure on that…is it pronounced like the French chateau?)
    Finneon
    Uxie
    Phione (if it's said "Fee own ee" like Fiona, or perhaps FYE on ee?...)
    Arceus (kinda like that too..)

    And POSSIBLY these…they're questionable to me…
    Paras (if you say Paris)

    And that's about it, I think…there are more than I thought that might make, well, considerable names--if only for fantasy characters. There are probably others that would start to sound that way if I thought about them more...like Shaymin, or Giratina...anyways. WDYT?

    Oh, I think Onyx for a girl is very pretty!
    I could see the name being unisex though (maybe spelled Onix for a guy.)

    And I do agree on Suicune sounding nice/feminine, too..
     
    I shall name my child Pikachu and he shall be famous. :[

    But seriously, if for some bizarre reason I had to name my child after a Pokémon, I'd go with one of the tamer ones, likely one you listed. Or Cherubi. I love Cherrim, but its pre-evolution is cute and lends itself--not well, but not too badly--as a human name too.

    But anyways I would be named probably either Natu or maybe Rayquaza.

    Except Rayqauza would be pronounced Ra-Quaza with a silent Y.
     
    I would go for Scizor if I ever had a thai baby as I am of white ethnicity.
     
    Maybe Mantyke, it doesn't seem like it would be that wierd of a name.

    Mantyke, ha ha, that is cute for a kid. He'd have to be Manny or 'Man-something' when he got older.
    And Gastrodon...that's not bad actually, it's like Gaston with extra letters in the middle.

    I think I would choose to be called either Cresselia, Misdreavus, Goldeen or Altaria.
     
    this is SUCH a weird thread. but ok. um... Pichu and Eevee might work... and mayb even treeko. or perhaps pione or manaphy. maybe. and maybe even shellos. or kadabra/alakazam. who nos. but yes, ataria seems really pretty. i onced new a girl named 'taria'. swablu doesn't seem so bad either.
