This looks like a lot of fun! Here's my SU.
* Name: Stella Nicks
* Gender: Female
* Age: Sixteen
* Personality: There is only one word to describe Stella Nicks: normal. That is, if normal can be defined at all. Stella would be defined as 'boring' if 'normal' did not fit, though she would never admit that to herself. Instead, Stella likes to think of herself as being a carefree, helpful and generally nice young girl, which she is most of the time. She lacks a temper, never usually becoming angry if something doesn't go her way.
She loves solving problems, her favourite subject at school being Mathematics. She believes she received nothing of the 'luck gene', always missing out on getting the last chocolate chip muffin from the canteen or tripping over things she doesn't see. She's frequently missed out on many different opportunities she's applied for to do with both Pokemon and other school subjects which has recently made her feel self conscious of her abilities. This is one reason that made her mother push her towards applying for Whitney's Young Trainer Academy.
Stella is dedicated to the one Pokemon she has befriended though she's never thought about proper training with her until recently when she found out about the trainer academy. Her Pokemon is one of her closest friends and Stella believes any other Pokemon she may have the opportunity to catch in the future will be just as important as her first. She's very much against Pokemon cruelty and environmental issues and enjoys reading, writing, doing maths problems and spending time outdoors.
* Appearance: Stella's of average height for a sixteen year old girl and of medium build. Her hair, which she pulls into a side pony tail most of the time, has a slight wave to it, is unruly and dark, dirty blonde in colour. A few strands of hair usually escape her pony tail, which she slides behind her left ear. Stella's eyes are a solid brown colour. Her skin is tanned in colour, though not so much that it's blatantly obvious. Light freckles dust her nose.
Stella is usually found wearing denim shorts, her favourite being a medium coloured blue, with a t-shirt. The t-shirts she owns consist of the colours white, dark blue, grey and dark green, all colours that she prefers to wear over others. Stella also loves jeans, preferring the boot cut style and a particular summer style dress, extreme light blue in colour that she found in an op shop last year. Stella prefers a natural make-up application, freaking out if the powder her mother purchased for her makes her too dark. You'll always find her wearing a silver chained necklace with a silver star around her neck. Her Ledyba has a similar necklace, only smaller.
* History: Stella comes from a broken family, so to speak, growing up in Violet City with her mother and her youger brother. Her father, an enthusiastic Pokemon trainer still young at heart, left herself, her mother and her younger brother when Stella was just four years old, claiming he needed to be with nature and his Pokemon once more. During the four young years Stella did spend with her father though, she was vastly exposed to Pokemon, her favourite at that point being her father's Nidorino, who was a big, buff but caring Pokemon. Once her father departed, Stella's mother found the means of obtaining her own pet Pokemon, an already evolved Wigglytuff, to entertain Stella and her brother Rory once more.
Stella's grandfather was the one to help her catch her own Pokemon when he visited one summer from his home Goldenrod City. Stella's grandfather was a retired Pokemon gym leader advisor, resonably skilled in Pokemon training. He both encouraged and helped Stella catch a female Ledyba she named Minnie. Stella and Minnie have been together since that fateful day, not long after Stella turned thirteen. Both Stella and Minnie have been itching to try out battling for real but the closest they've got to now is battling twelve year old Rory and her mother's Wigglytuff, which wasn't very successful. Stella has, since she caught Minnie, been doing all she can to read up on battling technique and watching every single coverage they make of recent league battles but she's never properly participated in one. Stella believes that if given the opportunity to, battling just might come naturally. With her luck though, that might not be the case.
* Pokemon:
Species: Ledyba
Name: Minnie
Gender: Female
Level: 9
Ability: Swarm
Moves: Tackle, Supersonic, Comet Punch
Personality: Minnie is a happy Ledyba though she does display characteristics of your typical Ledyba - freaking out at sudden movements and timidness. Being with Stella helps Minnie get over this though as Stella's calming personality helps Minnie to relax and enjoy, well, life. Minnie loves battling and thrives on the small battles she gets to compete in with Stella, her brother and Wigglytuff. Minnie also loves food, her favourite being chocolate and noodles. Minnie is a loyal friend to Stella, who insists on following her trainer around.

"Minnie, use a Tackle attack! C'mon, I know your faster than Wigglytuff!"
Stella yelled as she pushed her annoying dirty blonde hair out of her eyes so she could see what was happening. Stella was genuinely surprised at her younger brother's attempts to beat her and Minnie. Rory must have done something to be winning this battle, or else she would have wiped him off the face of the earth already.
Stella watched with determination as Minnie, the red and cream coloured Ledyba zoomed towards Wigglytuff who stood proud infront of Rory, pinks hands on her hips. Wigglytuff failed to brace for the attack and Minnie went crashing into her wide middle, rebounding off Wigglytuff back into the air. Ledyba looked shaken but not out of it yet as Wigglytuff and Rory stiffled a giggle.
"Wigglytuff use Doubleslap!"
Stella gasped, her younger brother grinning at his big sister's open mouth.
"What did you do to Wigglytuff?" Stella then demanded as her eyes flickered from her brother to Minnie as the Ledyba fluttered through the wind, dodging Wigglytuff's closed fists.
"We did some training!" Rory replied proudly. "Unlike you and Minnie. All you two do is sit around eating all day!"
Stella grinned at her brother's reply, knowing he was partially right. Minnie did love to eat but Stella tried to make some attempt at getting some training in now and again. It was good for their health and useful for beating Rory. Stella had no formal background in Pokemon training, though she did all she could to read up on training techniques, watch battles and she'd convinced herself she'd gotten her head around which types were weak against others and which were strong against others. Stella did try, it was just that she was a bit out of luck.
Wigglytuff's closed fists finally came in contact with the Ledyba. Stella winced as she watched Minnie soar through the air towards the ground once more.
"Minnie, I know you can keep going! Use Comet Punch!"
After receiving the shaking blow from Wigglytuff, Minnie wasn't as sharp as she had been at the beginning of this battle. The wind had picked up, rendering her flying advantage nearly useless as she was tossed through the air by the strength of the wind alone. Minnie turned to nod at Stella then focussed her gaze on the grinning Wigglytuff. Her right paw started to glow with a bright white light before Minnie buzzed her wings. She propelled herself off the ground, heading straight for the normal type Pokemon. Minnie's small paw slammed into the unsuspecting Wigglytuff before she could move and was consequently knocked backwards.
"Yay Minnie!" Stella yelled in triumph. Stella's smile faded as she realised Minnie hadn't really hurt Wigglytuff all that much, though their opponent was rubbing her forehead with a furious look on her face.
"Wigglytuff I know you can do this!" Rory commanded, a scary grin on his face as his eyes locked with his sister's. "Use our secret weapon!"
Dumbfounded, Stella motioned to Minnie to stay hovering in the air. With this sudden talk of a secret weapon, Stella felt both slightly nervous and the need to laugh at her brother. He'd obviously done some freaky sort of training with their mother's Wigglytuff. Wigglytuff, a determined look on her face, just grinned at Minnie. Before Stella and Minnie knew what was happening, Wigglytuff had sped towards Minnie, lept into the air and punched with all her might. Stella did not know what the attack was called or how Rory had taught Wigglytuff how to use it but it was certainly effective, knocking Minnie out for several minutes after the battle.
Though Stella was disappointed, she couldn't help feeling proud of her younger brother as she recalled Minnie to her Pokeball.
"Maybe you should have applied for the Young Trainer Academy instead of me," Stella joked. She felt sudden apprehension in saying that though. Thankfully, Rory screwed up his nose at the idea.
"I'd rather stay here. Y'know, maybe I'll be able to drop out of school and get a bird Pokemon and train with Faulkner!"
Rory skipped off with Wigglytuff by his side as Stella slowly followed behind him. She thought about what she'd said outloud. She knew it was half true, there were probably thousands of young trainers much better than herself who didn't get beaten by their younger brothers. There were probably thousands of trainers who didn't spend most of their time with their Pokemon eating and attempting math problems. There were probably thousands of trainers who actually had trained Pokemon. Minnie was, at this stage, just a pet really. Though Minnie, the Ledyba she'd had the priviledge of knowing for quite some time now, was not just a pet. Minnie was one of her best friends. And that, Stella convinced herself, was why she'd let her mother persuade herself in applying for the academy. Because Minnie and herself deserved something more.
