I really want to ask you how many duels against the lv 4 duelists have you done until you got enough cards to do the themed duels ;_; Frosty is totally pissed after 100+ duels with the lv 4 duelists...

I really didn't have a real problem with the duelists. I found during the second set of six that a simple burn deck kills all of them, though the duels can be pretty long depending on the type of deck they are using. If you are still having trouble with them I'll post the deck I used (most of the cards are really easy to obtain)

Spoiler:

... and still haven't got enough cards to do stuff like "recovery 10000 life points" and "ritual summon 10 times" (what the heck, how do you resist decking out from that many ritual summons)

I don't even remember how I even did the theme duels. Most of the time when I acctually completed the duels they were because I got lucky or I look online for some hints. I usually just did what the duel asked me to do instead of aiming for the S ranks and I only had to do about 8 before I got the next level so I would just do the duels you know you can do (at least 8 duels) until you have enough packs and then aim to get the S ranks.

It's not that I can't win the duels (they're pushover... except for occassional lucky Cyber End Dragon for starting off with Power Bond and Overload Fusion as the opening move -_-) but just that I'm ultra-annoyed at how slow it is to accumulate DP...

It's not easy at all just to aim for lv C with a highly limiting card pool =(

You really have to venture out to specific clubs or hobby leagues in order to play card games sometimes. Card stores is a good place to ask around and see if they hold gatherings for occassional playing time, especially if you see a "table" in the store somewhere ^^;

I used to play, until I kind of stopped buying the cards. Now, I only play with my family, if I feel like it. I do have WC2007 though.

Recovery was easy, Solemn Wishes was my friend there. I haven't done Ritual yet. I didn't really duel the level 4 duelists all that much, except Cyber End Dragon, but that was only about 40-50 wins. So compared to how many times you played, I have nothing.

I think part of the problem is that I'm just naturally tempted to only open packs that "appear later" because more than likely, the earlier packs contain more normal monsters than effect monsters, thus useless. Solemn Wishes, Draining Shield and those sort of things are probably hidden in the packs I considered as useless >>;

I always thought trading card games IRL is an expensive hobby, be it YGO, Magic or even Pokemon. Some of those comepetitive cards that are much needed and necessary are insanely expensive that poor college students cannot possibly afford. Surely everyone can recall how Card Trooper was initially a 3 digit value card (in american dollars) >>;

It's unreal how expensive a children's card game can be. Then again...

With this children's trading card, I can RULE THE WORLD!

That's true, a lot of the first packs have normal monsters. The only reason really got the pack with BEWD, was to get BEWD. I wanted a Dragon deck then, it was also the reason I got the pack with Red Eyes in it.

Yeh I used to play the TCG, then stopped buying the cards cause everyone just stopped playing at that time, I still got my sort of unbeatable deck though XD

If you go onto Wi-Fi, you can download the top players. Often, most people on the top players list purposely use a crap deck as their ghost so people can use them for easy DP, usually 700 in 1 Duel.

Okay, if you have Wi-Fi, jump online and then go to the leaderboards. Search Top/World/All and at the very top should be a person named EXODIOS, download his ghost. I think is deck is full of nothing but magic cards. If you beat him you'll get about 13260 DP which will get you about 88 packs of cards.

Oh, I play at my local card shop every Sunday. They're trying to get into the hobby league but they haven't had much sucess for some reason. I've even gone to the Shounen Jump events.

o____o

Lightning speed increase in building my deck to duel suddenly =P

Thanks for the help!

I wish I still had Wi-Fi so I could download his ghost, I read something about doing this before. But since I don't have Wi-Fi anymore, I have to do it the slow way.

You know, there really was no point to reviving this thread, especially if all you had to say was "OMG i can beat any of you", which is off-topic anyways

So i'm closing this one
