i did for like 4 years lol, till it became too nerdy haha

I'm very doubtful how that's a valid excuse for adults not to play a children's card game. I mean, it can't be much worse for adults to join an online forum based on a children's video game in the nerdiness category.

I don't see it as a children's game, it requires too much skill to be a pro at it to be a kids game.

It's a reference to the popular YGO parody... in America.

I have to disagree though... proven by the fact that 2006 USA champion is a 13 year old XD; I honestly don't think that it's too hard to learn all the concepts to the point that all you lack is playing experience. Other games that are really guided to adults have a far worse learning curve... at least YGO has no cost already. Pokemon got energy factored in as well, and magic has it worse for card games.

I am disgusted that you always have to stay in some kind of "crowd".

There's nothing nerdy about YGO, if you like it, you like it.

I cannot wait for the day where people will stop being dumb pieces of crap and accept people's hobbies.

Anyway, I'm considering quitting, since people always steal my cards.

i am disgusted how YOU think they don't accept ur hobbies, at my school all the 'nerds' make fun of jocks for skateboarding, playing sports like football and basketball, this results in the 'nerds' getting beat and having NO friends even amoung themselves so i'd advise u to shut ur ****ing nerd self up...

i am totally getting banned for this

Mr. Azn, the title of the thread is "who used to play YGO cards", not "Let's bash everyone else". I think you made a mistake. And foul language is a bit of a no-no. Anyway, if that's how it works at your school, I'm surprised that you're still alive. Being a member on a Pokemon forum for any reason is plus twelve in the nerdiness category. Everyone here is a closet nerd. Some of us have other, non-nerdy interests, but the world at large would group us as nerds as soon as they saw the "massive amount of time playing children's video games" up there. You, sir, are therefore just as nerdy as the rest of us. BTW, I'm not only a gamer. I run cross country and do drama as well, so don't you dare say that I don't qualify. And FYI? Nerds skateboard.

Yoshimitsu, you're just as bad on this one. If you can't say anything constructive, don't say anything at all. Sorry if it sounds like I'm mini-modding here, but I really can't stand juvenile arguments in the middle of threads.

Anywayz, I don't play myself, since I haven't had the chance to get my hands on Spirit Caller or WC007 and I don't feel like looking for cards otherwise.

Then go ahead and get WC007, join the card dueling grinding frenzy ;p more fun if everyone grinds at the same time =P

I'm with Frostweaver on this one: hurry up and get WC07 so that I'll finally be able to duel someone (that means to HURRY UP, Frostweaver. My decks are already complete).

Yeah, I don't buy the cards themselves so much anymore. I'm more of a "Wi-Fi gamer"...

It is soooo not my fault that I don't have the cards to do any of the lv 1 theme duels. I mean, I certainly were not aiming at useless packs to get myself LP recovery cards (except nimble momonga) to heal myself a darn 10k LP. -_-

So I'm still stuck on lv 4 duelists =( very very slow DP progress.

Join in the fun of 250 DP per duel at lv 4, ACC, join

Heh, I'm grabbing them as soon as I see a copy, it's just that I live out in the boonies so I don't get to go game-shopping all that often, and the local Wal-Mart is pretty much sold out. XD

    HM! my status at school:
    30% jock
    20% nerd
    50% unique

All right, point taken. Sorry for not defending you earlier. Though I've got to say, I learned to play MTG once and found it rather boring. Dunno why.

Mr. Azn, twenty percent nerd is the same as nerd, it just means that you're not a very nerdy nerd. You need to stop bashing people, that was my point. In retaliation, of sorts....

    10% Athlete
    40% Nerd
    10% Lover of odd music/Unique
    40% Unique
    100% Critic. (XD)

Currently I've become more of a wi-fi dueler, but I do still go down to my local card shop on Sunday's and duel in the small tournaments. But even before I got WC07 I was more of a collector than someone who actually plays the game. So far I have completed almost every set. The only ones not completed are the first three sets when most of the cards consisted of normal monsters instead of effect monsters.

I really want to ask you how many duels against the lv 4 duelists have you done until you got enough cards to do the themed duels ;_; Frosty is totally pissed after 100+ duels with the lv 4 duelists and still haven't got enough cards to do stuff like "recovery 10000 life points" and "ritual summon 10 times" (what the heck, how do you resist decking out from that many ritual summons)

    I love yu-gi-oh i started when I was 7 and now I'm 11 and still play it I'm even on a yu-gi-oh forum

I used to but there's no one to play with now because all the people in my school and on my block hate it. ( Becuz it ain't GHETTOOOO!)

It was so fun making up special abilities for my cards and having people actually believe me. Those were the days..
