4th Gen Who's beaten the game?

I'll be taking my time to beat HeartGold.
Seriously...what's the rush?
 
I am still training outside of Azalea Town. Considering the amount of time I have had to play (I am on Spring Break but am having medical testing done which is taking up at least half of my day) that's pretty good.
 
I beat the game yesterday(Tuesday) But I cannot get to Kanto, I lost to Lt. Surge without going to the Pokemon center, and nothing will let me get back to Kanto until Friday which really sucks.
 
9 badges. :] Just doing some random Johto stuff now. Not in a rush. Training really.
 
Yep i beat it all. I trained for like 2 hours straight and got my Totodile to a Croconaw before even getting to the first gym. Hint to catching lugia/ho oh: Get a Heavy Ball from Kurt and save it! Get lugia to very red and put it to sleep. Heavy ball works its magic and i got it with one try
 
I have gotten 9 badges now and for me I just cant go to slow, like I see alot of people only have like 2+ badges. Good thing its fun to replay unlike D/P/Pt I played my original crystal over 50 times and I was only 4+

There are 16 gyms+ the Elite 4 + 2 entire regions + Mt. Silver(Red) TOTAL to go through and not only that but there's team rocket at some points PLUS the high encounter rate you get for running in this game. If you actually did without trading just going through the game with what you get, that is a LOAD of hours put into a day to play the game, and that like i said before though, is rushing the game.

I mean to be honest, i only just dealt with TR at goldenrod city yesterday and i thought even I was rushing it a bit cause the game is so good, but beat the game? Sorry, im taking my time and savoring this gem for what it is.

The reason Im rushing(and probably most people) is to get the game over with and EV Train there pokes freely without having to worry about the storyline.

But yeah Im struggling on Red and it doesnt help when all you pokemon are lvl 55-57 and you have to bring a HM Slave >.>

I'm'a play the game for at least two weeks before beating it; I don't see why rush a game. It's like buying a movie to watch it once - might as well have rented it! In this case, might as well have rented it / downloaded the ROM o.o

I agree about taking your time to play through the game. It's not about how fast you play through, it's about HOW you play through.

As for not buying it, I disagree. I think it was worth all $40. I was a little disappointed in the pokewalker though, only due to the fact that it is kind of easy to break/damage.

(Rambling...) And as for rushing for EV training, I don't get the big deal. I personally find EV training silly. Why do you need to specially train pokemon? A normal trained poke gets the job done for me every time. >.>

I only have 3 badges. Still training my Pineco and Vulpix in Goldenrod. I'm not rushing through this game, I want to enjoy it since I've waited so long to play it, but I expect to be at the Elite 4 by next week, and have all 16 badges maybe in another two weeks. Yeah I know I'm slow. But once I get bored of SS..(well that will probably never happen since I'm still playing my Pearl 3 years after release) but once I have all 16 badges, the perfect team, and a decent amount of caught Pokemon I'll buy HG.
 
I just finished Morty. I traded over pokes from Plat though, just because I couldn't stand having to use the ones I had available in the beginning of the game (lapras, togetic, larvitar, dratini, jolteon and quilava is what i have now, as opposed to geodude, butterfree, togetic, quilava, and zubat). Yeah, maybe I didn't need too, but I'm taking my time enjoying the games and I want pokemon I like when I do it
 
i don't understand whats with everyone and their rushing through the game. first off, i have school, so i don't even get that kind of time to play. in fact, ive been trying to slow down cause i thought i was rushing through the game too fast. i am in national park with quilava, nidorino (trying to transfer my mmonstone to get nidoking), flaafy, and haunter. i enjoy playing the game as gold/silver/crystal were the best of all the pokemon games and soul silver has been really fun so far. :)
 
Yeah since I rushed now I have 9 badges I have actually decided to restart because well my choices of pokemon sucked, I dont want it to get boring and its fun to restart and I dont want to rush this time.
But seriously how can some people have 16 Badges , Beat Elite 4, Beat Red, Beat improved Elite 4 and beat improved gym leaders?! Its impossible to beat the improved gym leaders because all 7 days of the week havent passed so they must have time skipped

Red's One True Weakness

He seriously murders most of red by himself...

and again i didnt want to finish fast i wanted to drag it out along time...but seriously the enemies were so low level its hard not to win...level 30s vs lv 16s wtf...imma do the scramble challenge i think now
 
I beat the game yesterday. That means Kanto and beating Red.
 
I don't plan on beating the game any time soon. So far, I have about two badges, and I don't think I'll have time to progress much farther until the weekend. I figure that I've already essentially beaten this quest before (in G/S/C), so why rush? This is actually faster than I expected to play the game, but I haven't had school due to power outages (although I also haven't been able to charge my DS battery at all...).
 
As of right now, I going into the Elite 4. So halfway there, I guess :)
 
I finnaly got SS today! Right now i'm in bellsprout tower training my hoothoot and chikorita.
 
I just got my Rainbow Feather in HG :) My Typhlosion and Togetic are 45/41 respectively. Debating trying to catch Raikou and Entei before going on, but my flee-stopper is currently a 19 Misdreavous :(
