So, my event will be Who's That Pokemon, which you would likely know if you were familiar with it in the Pokemon Trivia section. The event focused on a zoomed-up piece of Global Link artwork of a Pokemon, of which people had to guess what Pokemon the picture belonged to.

I haven't come up with the puzzle yet, since I figured a GT version needs to be something special. So, this will currently be in a work-in-progress stage for now and I may update this later.

I figured that since we have a theme based around Harry Potter-like houses this year and it would be great to have it being incorporated into the event, what would you guys like to see me do in terms of how the puzzles will be handled?

Would like to hear everyone's inputs and suggestions.

If you can't tie it in with the houses you don't need to but maybe in addition to the standard WTP, maybe also have a house v house round where the houses each submit one pixelated image for the other houses to guess, and whichever house gets the most correct in that special round gets house points? If that makes sense

That is an interesting idea. Would you be keen to lay it down in-depth so I can see how it'll work?

    Ok I'll try!

So you ask each team to submit one Who's That Pokemon image as a team, for the other teams to guess.

So let's say they submit these:

    Arcanine House
    [PokeCommunity.com] Who's That Pokemon

    Espeon House
    [PokeCommunity.com] Who's That Pokemon

    Hawlucha House
    [PokeCommunity.com] Who's That Pokemon

    The Other House (my bad)
    [PokeCommunity.com] Who's That Pokemon

Then there are a couple ways you can do this. Maybe in your thread you'll have 7 WTP puzzles that people need to guess, and then they do 3 more depending on what team they're in (so if they're in the Arcanine House, they need to do the puzzles submitted by Hawlucha, Espeon, and (Other Pokemon) House). So people do them all individually.

OR you do your regular thread, and then in the sub-forums for each team you post the bonus puzzles (i.e. in Arcanine House's section you post the Hawlucha, Espeon and Other Pokemon's puzzles that they submitted) and as a team they guess what they are.

And for whichever you choose, you award House Points depending on
    1) in the first case: which team did the best overall / the best on the final three puzzles, on average
    2) in the second case: which team got the most correct in the bonus round

Does that make sense? If not let me know and I'll try draw it out.

I think I get it now. You could still draw it out, since I am a first-time event host and I kind of need to get to know it.

So, I'm thinking of using a CSS code for the OP in the event thread. I'm debating between the one used for the regular Who's That Pokemon puzzles in the Pokemon Trivia section, or one of Achromatic's codes to make it feel more "modern".

Also, I need to know how exactly to get that 8x zoom-in on the pics since the methods I tried didn't seem to fit.

Something you could do is seperate different types in different sections like this.
    Ground, rock and steel
    Grass, fairy and water
They would be in groups of types that represent simaler things.

While that would be interesting, I would find it difficult to execute. I preferred Swiftie's idea since it incorporated the theme of the GT into it, but I'd also like to see him lay it out so I can understand what he means.

imo the best way to do this is present four zoomed in pokemon yourself for other teams to guess and as a team they have to send ONE guess each, and give each team around 48-72 hours (or however long you want to make it) to submit their guesses (I really don't think that's too long). That way you can run multiple rounds of WTP to keep the event itself fun and fresh and competitive, and whoever comes out with the most correct guesses wins the entire GT event.

I think that might be a decent way to handle it. Figured that would be easier than getting others to suggest the puzzles.
