i dont why pikachu.....but that dude is dominates Japan right now !

To be fair, that picture was from the Macy's Thanksgiving parade in New York City last year (not Japan), which shows that Pikachu is still popular worldwide to this day. That's even more reason to think that it was a much better pick than Clefairy.
