Why do you guys do this?

Do you do it for fun?
Do you want to do it as a career?

Why do you guys develop fan games?

What do you want to gain from the whole process?

What are you going to do with the experience and knowledge gained from the whole ordeal?

For me, I want to develop games for fun, for sharing fun to others for playing it(if it's good game). And for hobby.. :D

Fun. Why else would somebody do this?

I don't make them but I will some day but I think its because we're bored, Or perhaps the real game didn't have what we wanted.

Haha, I do this mainly for fun when I'm bored in the evenings but also just to see what it's like making a game.

    I do this, because:
    - It's fun.
    - I want to create games as a job in the future.
    - Experimenting with RMXP and Essentials is entertaining.
    - Game Freak has never quite given us the 100% bombshell game.

    For fun.(Game dev in general)
I would never be caught dead doing it as a job.

It's fun and interesting! I get to express my creativity in a new way bro!

I mainly do this because I enjoy it.
It's quite fun and it takes my mind off of other things.

    Why not?

    [/obligatory remark]

Anyway, I do it because I love the creative process that goes into developing a game, as well as the technical knowledge that's required to program it. When you do everything yourself, you use all parts of your brain, not just the left side or the right side/ For me, that's very fulfilling and at the same time, fun. It's what makes me happy, basically.

I totally agree with Alistair. I just want to know why your asking this.

Do you do it for fun?
Yes. Mainly as a hobby in my free time.

Do you want to do it as a career?
    Maybe... I haven't decided.

Why do you guys develop fan games?
For fun.. And to see people enjoy your games..

Game Making Knowledge, so you can help others with their games. And also make games yourself.

What are you going to do with the experience and knowledge gained from the whole ordeal?
With the experience I gained from doing this I will.... Make more games? xD
