Hey, everyone. I haven't been around the Battle Stadium much these days due to RPing, but I'm back for the get-together! Since there are so many of us (I think six at this point?), I agree with the suggestion to split it into the Single Battle division and the Double Battle division. If you don't mind, I'd perfer to help with Single Battle as that's just the type of battling I'm best with. If you'd like, I can prepare prizes. I enjoy EV training and IV breeding...so if anyone has objections to me providing the prize(s), please state so. Please put your votes in for this!

And the form I'd use for the prizes...

Pokemon Species: (Just state the name, please)

    Gender: (Male/Female/Doesn't matter)

    Nature: (Just give me one...)

Ability: (In the case of two...)

    Shiny: (Yes or no)

Moves: (Make this realisitic, please. No giga impact on a magikarp)

IV Set: (I'd be thankful if you stuck to 2 Perfects, as that's easiest for me, but just give me one that wouldn't be impossible, so no no all 31s...but I suppose I could do that...)

Does that look good? I've been known to forget things when setting these up...and in general...so please tell me if I messed something up again.

32 man single knockout tourney y/n? We could split the tourney into Wi-Fi and Shoddy, or just do the Singles / Doubles divisions too.

Well, why not have all those posibilites added? Each one of us can take care of a specific Tourney section: I could handle the Wi-Fi single division (and anyone else that wants to help), Cherii can take care of the Shoddy division (and someone else, too), and another can be in charge of a Doubles division. Also, while sasune can give out EVTrained and Good-IVed Pokémon as prizes, I can give out some Shinies and Events of my own (On the Events, I'll have to get a little updated, since I really haven't collected that many of this year's events)

With all the hosts, I think we can even do a UU Singles Division as well, for those people who think UU has more variety, and all that. (if any host wants to take care of this one, you're welcome)

    @__________@

Don't you think that's a little over the top? Shoddy, Doubles, Singles, and UU... thats four tournaments we'll all have to manage. I'd say two separate tournaments tops. I think WiFi Singles + Shoddy ... or WiFi Singles + WiFi UU Singles is enough.

Then, to even things, how about this setup?

This is called the Wi-Fi Battle tournament, so the shoddy thing just doesn't exist, though if you really want it, I'm willing to talk.

Two people for the Singles Open. Also, in terms of suggestions, could we not allow one uber per team for some variety? I don't see many ubers here on PC and I'd love to allow one per team for this event...but if not, I understand completely. The uber would have to be verified by someone to make sure its not hacked or anything, since I just flat out hate cheated pokemon for no adaquetly explored reason.

Two people for the Doubles Open, which is the double battling equivilent of the Singles Open. If the one uber rule is legal, I can see how this would be a one of a kind tournament. With it, however, we'd need to put down some solid rules...anyone up for helping me prepare such is welcome to.

Finally, we have the UU Only tournament. In this, only UU pokemon are legal for an awesome fighting experience...that is unparalleled here on PC since we're going to have as many people as we can!

Anyway, that's the setup I perfer to run here. I hope you understand my points...

Also, wonderful banner. I think it's perfect!

The one uber per team thing would be a huge opportunity for luck based wins. And I can already see all of them being Arceus. XD; -shot-

    Tournament Rules

☆ First and foremost, abide to the PokeCommunity Forum-wide Rules. Otherwise you're uncool, man.

You MUST have a copy of Diamond, Pearl, or Platinum with WiFi capabilities in order to sign up first. This basically means you must have a wireless router for your DS and internet access. If you don't have a wireless router, you can pick it up at RadioShack, Circuit City, and the like.

☆ The following clauses are in effect throughout the match:
Sleep Clause: No more than one Pokemon should be asleep on the same team. Exceptions include Pokemon that put themselves to sleep using REST, and if a Pokemon is stuck in a situation where you have no other choice but to put the opponent to sleep (Examples: Effect Spore, Encored Hypnosis)

Evasion Clause: The use of attacks that tamper with a Pokemon's evasion or accuracy is prohibited (Examples: Double Team, Sand-Attack). Exceptions may include Acupressure and Metronome, which may alter evasiveness and accuracy by chance.

OHKO Clause: Moves that always OHKO the opponent when the move connects are not to be used. Those moves include Fissure, Sheer Cold, Horn Drill, and Guillotine.

Species Clause: No using two of the same Pokemon on the same team (Example: Having two Salamence on the same team is prohibited).

Hax Item Clause: Items that rely on luck to work are prohibited. (Examples: Items like King's Rock, Quick Claw, Focus Band, Scope Lens, etc. are banned)
☆ The team that you enter with must NOT contain any uber Pokemon. This means that you cannot enter this tournament with any of the following:

    Mewtwo
    Mew
    Wynaut
    Wobbuffet
    Lugia
    Ho-oh
    Latios
    Latias [w/ Soul Dew]
    Groudon
    Kyogre
    Rayquaza
    Deoxys
    Deoxys [ATTACK]
    Deoxys [DEFENSE]
    Deoxys [SPEED]
    Garchomp
    Dialga
    Palkia
    Giratina
    Giratina [ORIGIN]
    Manaphy
    Shaymin [SKY]
    Darkrai
    Arceus
Shaymin in land forme is still allowed, as well as Latias if it isn't holding the Soul Dew.

☆ All battles are to be held over WiFi as a Single Battle with levels at 50 or 100.

☆ If two participants conclude the match with conflicting stories, both will be disqualified.

☆ Hacked Pokemon are NOT to be used. This includes Pokemon with stats that are higher than possible, perfect 252 EVs in all stats, impossible abilities, impossible moves, and the like. If you are found out to be using hacked Pokemon, you will be immediately kicked out of the tournament in addition to any punishment that the staff give.

☆ If one participant is unable to battle for a certain round, they will be disqualified and their opponent will advance. If both are found to be unavailable, both will be disqualified and the opponent in the next round gets a free pass. Note: Under the circumstance that your opponent is a no-show, you must post here notifying us. Otherwise, we will just assume you both are no-shows.

☆ The tournament will be a 32 man elimination. Once you're out, you're out.

That's...amazing. Cherii, you're wonderful. Great job! We're all set up with...checks calender 18 days to spare! Anyway, I thought it was UU...why not make it open? I know people who use a mix of UU and OU...and I love BL because its got some great stuff...but whatever. I doubt I'll be in it anyway since I'm helping host it...

Is everyone content with this setup? I suppose you're right. What the heck was I thinking, considering adding an Uber to the mix...I should be shot...xD

Anyway, I think you should allow a double battle tournament or at least more entries to the single battle. After all, this is the get together, a time for everyone to be allowed...now about that shoddy...

If we do an OU battle, it technically includes all tiers except Uber. You can use UUs in OU battles because they're ranked lower in them, but you can't use OU in a UU battle. :<

I don't think BL exists anymore, does it?

Sorry, I could have posted earlier but I really want to thank my buffalo wings for that wonderful mess I made in the restroom + All day sickness.

Anyways, I, and many others, do not like thanking Smogon for the wonderful classifications of Pokemon. So to slow down rule breaking, I recommend splitting the tournament between Single and Double, Max 1 Uber, No OHKO, and absolutely no hacks. So that will only include a non-Japanese Arceus and any others with unusual stats.

We also need a level range. We could do Lvl 50 or 100 to make it fair.

I also do not like the idea of Shoddy. I always smell chaos with such matches.

Oh yeah, there's like 5 Pokemon in BL or something.

And I really think Shoddy tourney is gonna be a problem. Back in the days with the Shoddy Lounge, we've tried multiple attempts at a tournament but only one tournament actually succeeded. The rest were closed before it finished due to lack of interest / inactivity. We had trouble getting battles done on time even in 1 week, and now we have to get in 1 round per day. x_x (and thats with a 16 man tourney).

32 man OU tourney; 1 day per round time limit; single elimination y/n?

Yes to the singles. Now that I think about it, the shoddy would be absolute chaos. Personally, I see no reason why we can't host a doubles tournament. I'm open to reasons and suggestions for why it wouldn't work but please keep your reasons reasonable. The UU tournament...would it be only UU? Just going for clarity here...

Why not Double? This is supposed to be "Wi-Fi" no? There is no reason to include Shoddy which will probably rot like most others. We will need separation and a simple one too. And I think Single and Double battling for 3 hosts each. Some people like me don't even find Shoddy very convenient and we probably won't even have enough for a good 16-man tournament. And what will those people get as a prize? Most of the people that do Shoddy are because they probably don't even have Diamond Pearl or Platinum.

We're not making decisions based on what this event is named. We're making decisions on what would work best. :/ James and Erik support the OU WiFi and OU Shoddy btw.

The UU tournament...would it be only UU?
Um... yes. What else would it be? It includes all tiers that are UU and under, (UU, NU, and NFE)

K9 and sasune should get on MSN. >:(
