really? then try spend hours to breed pokemon then waiting for hours until someone gives you an iv battle, then all 6 pokemon you bred are BAD and you have to breed again. After days of breeding you get the pokemon you want. Then you have to ev train it. all nice. BUT you dont have the tms and shards to teach it the right moves. How nice isnt it?

It is perfectly possible to RNG without an Action Replay. Will it take longer than it does with an AR? Of course it will, just get a Magby/Magmar/Slugma instead of a fast-hatch cheat, takes less than 5 minutes for an egg to hatch (of course the actual process is about 20+ minutes to RNG to get all the pre-sets right and all). IV checking after all of that, yes it will take some time and it won't be perfect. Shards and heart scales are easy to find in the underground. EV Training? Just look up the proper areas to do it in and do it, (you should be able to find at least one Macho Brace and/or Exp. Share through that ONE play-through of the game anyway). And finally the TMs...the fact that they're limited is the beauty of it, it means after you find one, you can't screw around so you use them on something you KNOW will keep it, after all the IV checking of course. Not our fault you probably wasted the original TMs on some in-game team pokemon only to find it was useless. A lot of TMs are possible to get copies of throughout the game anyway (per say the department stores, pickup ability, battle frontier, PBR, and now even the pokewalker. Will it cover every single one of them? Nope, but the ones that aren't mean you just need to be more careful with them). Instead of going "screw this, I'll just use a cheat code" You shouldn't need more than 2 of a single TM anyway. Is it really necessary to go through the game multiple times? Hey look, there's DPPt AND HGSS, how about two separate games instead? Did you all need your poor little AR to go through those too? Was Cynthia's Garchomp just too high a level or Red's pikachu too much a beast? NO, you were all able to train at least ONE pokemon to a high enough level so it's not needed to go through cheating for the other stuff like Rare Candies and Masterballs. (Because if you were that guy who found it NECESSARY to cheat for that, you shouldn't be competitive battling in the first place).

Because its not cheating until you get caught.

So if I copy the answers to a test from an answer key and use them while taking the test and don't get caught then it's not cheating?

You know, instead of all that with the wikipedia article, you could just go straight to the source where they specifically say for cheat codes. And if it's STILL a matter of not getting caught, where's the proof that he edited it? Or the proof that's it inaccurate?

Maybe you do those parts properly, but the other arguments have already stated that they constantly use the quick egg hatch cheat. There goes that. And for EV training, you DID mention them in the list of painful and long tasks needed to make competitive pokemon.

Earthquake- Available in Battle Frontier, just play in the battle frontier and you can get as many as you want. OH It's also available with the Pickup ability and PBR. No excuse for not being able to get as many EQ TMs
Flamethrower- What's this? The GAME CORNER? What do you know, also no need to play through the whole game twice.

A few other common ones:
Stealth Rock- Just the one from Roark right? *BZZT* Nope, it's cheap and all yours for just 2000 Pokedollars in Celadon! Just trade from someone who has HGSS.
Calm Mind- Still just the battle tower, but 48BP isn't too much to ask considering EQ is 80.
Dragon Claw- I'll admit there's a small supply for this one. On the other hand, since Mence learns it naturally, you'd only need it for stuff like Lati@s.
Hidden Power- Again, GAME CORNER
Ice Beam- Common on Blissey, GAME CORNER
Toxic- Battle Frontier
Rain Dance- Pokewalker
Protect (I don't think this is as common)- Store
T-Bolt- Game Corner, PBR
WoW- 32BP, cheaper than Calm Mind
Stone Edge- Ew, 80BP still beats this "going through the game twice that others speak of"
Substitute- Game Corner
Swords Dance- Also Game Corner!
T-Wave- Battle Frontier

Get the idea?

I will give you a few points however:
Roost- Through HGSS, DPPt, PBR, the Game Corners, and department stores. You'd only get two of these.

The only way to get two of those would be restart the game, preferably in HGSS to make the slow 45 minutes up to beat Falkner (which conveniently, you get the ability to do a wifi trade afterwards, in-conveniently, you'd have to have a dummy version of HGSS to do this in the first place). But you guys already waste 20-30 bucks on a cheat device, why not just add a few bucks to get this extra copy of the game?

Grass Knot- Because abusing pickup may be harder than earning 80BP
and more notably
Trick Room- Because PBR is NOT for everyone.

Anyway, once I get on well with SS, I might open a breeding shop with egg moves and IVs and such. It would be good for me since I wouldn't need cloning or anything and I don't think people do that yet.

Also, when I was getting my events cloned the other day, I traded off a Starly and found out it had good IVs.
