Has anyone been using the new shiny egg finder ? I tried but it didn't end up shiny, I probably did something wrong. I advanced the frame and everything. Are you supposed to pick up the egg from the daycare man at the set time or do you hatch it at that particular time. ah O.o so confusing.

There's one for HGSS now? The only one I know of is in D/P/Pt, and although it's easy, it seems to be very tedious for me.

yep, in the new version, there is but I don't think there's a guide yet. I'm kinda experimenting with it, although i really have no idea what I'm doing.

I believe it still works for HGSS. Except that you can't advance the frame to get to the right egg with the journal in HGSS and therefore have to continually pick up the eggs until you land on the right one. If I read it correctly...

you have to make sure that you hit your seed first
you can do that via calling Elm

Thats true, but its also possible to easily obtain a correct spread so that it lands on your first egg.

I prefer the roamer method to calling elm. So much quicker in my opinion. And I'm not saying you cant get a shiny egg on your first egg, I was just pointing out that that may be why it wasn't working for some people

Wait, so I just have to reset at a specific time and frame, right? I've been doing all that. I've been using the radio on the pokeradar to advance the frames. I thought you could use the radio.

I need an AR so I can hatch these things quicker :/

I also selected the option for "international parents" because I got one of my pokemon from a friend who lives in the UK but I think they're the same versions so that was kinda stupid of me. I'll try calling elm. It's a hassle to hatch the eggs and then I find that they aren't shiny. Is there a way to find out whether you've picked up the right egg?

I didnt really understand how the roamer method works so unless of a very low frame i prefer elm

You can use the radio, however it is very inconsistent as to how much it advances the frame so I would shy away from that if possible.

And the roamer method is basically just deriving the seed from wherever the roamer appear in your game.
