    Yeah, it's true.

The oldest ancestor of this project was WikiProject Pokédex (and its child project WikiProject PokéNav), which created articles for many Pokémon and Pokémon characters. This project fell into inactivity due to a loss of interest, and the many stubs they created became the subject of a great deal of criticism, especially given the creation of the guidelines for the handling of fictional subjects.

This criticism led to the creation of the Poképrosal, a proposal to merge all of these stubs into lists. While this proposal met with a consensus support, it stalled when it was proposed that it must be possible to expand these Pokémon stubs.

This effort to expand these stubs into articles led to the creation of the Pokémon Adoption Center, a project that assigned stubs to individual users to expand.

When the PAC project ran out of stubs to assign, this project was founded (under the name "Pokémon Collaborative Project"), to maintain and improve the newly expanded articles.

Of late, this project has reconsidered having individual articles for various Pokémon-related subjects, including places and things, human characters, and individual episodes of the anime, and the Pokémon species, due to their lack of notability and sourcing, as well as maintenance problems. The merging of the individual articles to lists is still in progress, due to the number of articles involved.

I used to be a common Wikipedian, browsing their articles. On the most part they improve over time, but they have come to one exception. >_>

I guess I can't put links here, but just look at the article on Bulbasaur. At this time last year, the articles were like that for every Pokemon. But now, try searching for "Absol," or "Wobbuffet." >_>

I think only Pikachu will be safe from elimination. Perhaps the Puff-man as well.

But alas, it looks like data will just be moved to Bulbapedia. Maybe it is for the best, heh. But I don't like how this came to be. Apparently "certain people" were upset that specific Pokemon had more information that certain "more important things."

I personally don't care about that. There is a nice big page on Canada, looks fine. It doesn't look any worse because there is also a big page on Tyranitar.

Er, I correct myself. There was a big article on Tyranitar....Past tense.

Tyranitar, Bangiras (バンギラス, Bangirasu?) in original Japanese language versions, is the final evolution of Larvitar. Its strength is insurmountable and its body is nearly impenetrable. It can easily change the landscape with its strength, often causing maps to have to be redrawn if it rampages. It can destroy a whole mountain with one arm, just to make its nest. It has an insolent nature towards all other beings, and due to its own the toughness of its body, it seeks out opponents constantly.
That is Tyranitar's article now. Impressive, eh?
