6th Gen Wild Encounters

I would love to see some pokemon, though it annoys me with the memes, where people assumed the grass was normal size, the tall grass where you encounter pokemon reaches up to your neck, you're telling me you burrow underground? xD But in all seriousness, I'd like to see the tall pokemon, same size or bigger than you be seen in grass sticking out and small like Joltick can't be seen.

idk I figured they'd make the smaller ones like Joltik as you mentioned larger in the overworlds so that you can see "everything". Otherwise you might end up stepping on Pokemon (in terms of... reality...? I mean normal grass isn't very tall lmao).

Maybe u can zoom it?
It would be better in XL,you know...Bigger screen.:)

What about in caves where there are Zubats, or any other bat pokemon? You know, where it seems as though every-single-step we make sets off a wild Zubat?

That'd be sure annoying if wild battles are cinematic. :x

I just hope the animation doesn't take too much time, if could be tedious running through a field of grass and constantly having to see a Pokemon pop up. There might be a feature that speeds up this process or turn it off completely, either way, I always carry a huge stock of max repel later in the game.
As for rarity, I always wished for a Pokemon game to include Pokemon variants, some Pokemon fan-games have that feature and it's brilliant. It adds a feel of variety and abundance in the Pokemon world. Also, make it easier to find shiny Pokemon!

One idea is that the encounter cinematic may only show the very fist time you see THAT particular pokemon....

Another is that it could be in the beginning of the game where the trainer is just showing you how to catch a wild pokemon and only for that battle does the cinematic show up :P

City Pokemon in X&Y?

So one of the things I have always wanted since watching the anime of Pokemon when I was little, was in the games to have interactions/battles with Pokemon inside the city, just like how there are wild Pokemon inside the cities of the anime. I thought a cool way to do this would be to add in little alleyways behind buildings in large cities, and have trash cans/dumpsters and other items that would shake (just like the grass) when a Pokemon is in there. I thought that it would be cool if Grimers/Muks and other Pokemon that are repeatedly shown in the cities could be the Pokemon that could be encountered. I think this could be an awesome new encountering method that could be installed in newer Pokemon games, like Pokemon X & Y.

I actually like this idea alot. I mean, why just have Poke's in the grass outside of cities? We could find Grimers/Muks or Garbadors/Trubbish in trash cans, if we can go ontop of buildings, then we could find flying types. Stuff like that would be cool to have in X and Y.

If I have to went through some "cinematic" for every random encounter, I'll stop grinding. Seriously they should provide option to skipped it >__>

I think they might considering the fact that they usually have the option to turn on/off battle animations. If they don't, I'm gonna be a bit annoyed.

Hmm, seems a bit strange to go up into first person view, to then have your battle in a whole other style, idunno. It might also not happen or, like said before, only the first time

I like it.

It's a different way of encountering new and rare Pokemon as compared to the traditional method and adds an element of excitement, I think.

As to the possibility of encountering Pokemon in the overworld via interaction, I've been wanting this for a long time. Especially with larger Pokemon like Onix or Aggron. Maybe it'd be like encountering a Trainer, with a Pokemon noticing you and giving chase, giving you the option to battle it or run before it makes contact.

Don't really care either way. When it gets to the point that i can't even wait for an extra 3 second cinematic to finish without raging, i'll know my attention span is shot.

They could let you skip the animation by pressing a button too. It will always show, but if you press A, it will skip into the battle.
