    Yes, cheesy forum titles for the win.

    Hello I am NyxusRose. Feel free to shorten it to Nyxus, Nyx, or something else. I've played Pokemon since Gen I (I was alive when Pokemon started o.o ), and I have played at least one version of every gen if not more. Never really gotten into the whole battling, trading, etc. scene because I was a very casual gamer. This time with X & Y, I decided I'd try to break out of my lonely PvE scene and try to actually make teams, breed pokemon, and battle other players. I'm shy when it comes to new places so it may take me a bit to get into anything here. My schedule with college is also very hectic.

    Found you guys via Google searching for Pokemon communities so I hope this proves to be a good pick. And don't be surprised if I start PMing lots of people for FSZ. I've been dying for a Ninetales among others. I'm also a student graphic designer, and I love writing stories, so I'm sure I'll end up on threads pertaining to that.
     
    Ah yeah, Gen I, I remember how I felt how hard it was.. especially when I was playing Pokemon Yellow, when the levels from the Celadon and Fushia Gym Leader Pokemon spiked up from Mid 30s - Level 50. Gah. Well, it was a challenge, but, I still enjoyed the games! I used to be quite a casual gamer when I was younger too. I think EV training and having good results from your pokemon are quite rewarding! It's nice to hear that you were trying new things from that. :3

    Yeah, I'm extremely shy myself but it always is worth it to break out of your shell and try new things. You'd be surprised with how fun trading and battling can be if you give it a shot - they're very worthwhile things to do post-game. PokeCommunity also has some great members to befriend so you'll easily find others to connect with here! Check out the Battle Center and Trade Corner for battles and trades respectively if you're interested. <3

    Gen I was very hard, especially being young enough that I didn't fully grasp the concept of pokemon. I remember having Yellow and wondering why in the world it was taking so long to beat Brock with a Pikachu. XD It wasn't until watching the shows more and getting older that I understood my mistake.
