    I haven't seen any threads similar to this and I have no idea what catagory it would go in. With that lack of knowledge, "general" seemed like a good place to start. I also didn't read anything about something like this being not allowed, but I apologize if it is =(

    Basically my girlfriend is a huge fan of pokemon (not to say I'm not myself, but she REALLY loves them) so I wanted to come up with an original game for her. The problem is I don't have any talent whatsoever in mapping/scripting, So I was wondering if anyone would assist me in bringing together a game.

    While I can provide sprites, I need someone who can do mapping and basic scripting (just enough for a simple story). I would pay for this help. The cost will be discussed by me and whoever is willing to lend a hand, but it would be based on the size of the maps being created and the difficulty of the scripting/events populating each map. (ranging $10 from the small starting town to $100 for the bigger maps)
     
    If you're really eager to make your girlfriend a Pokémon game of her own with original sprites, maps, scripts and more, then your best shot would be to try starting at the Emulation section of the forums. This is where most Hacks are dealt with. I don't think you'll need to offer any money though. There are tons of collaborated hacks that people work on together. Plus, money isn't really offered here at PC unless your donating to the site. :D

    I'll have completely new pokemon and the character sprites will be new, but I don't want it to just be one of the current games with a "face lift". I'd like to have new areas and such.

    I looked in the hack section and there didn't seem to be any areas I could start a post like this. And money always seems to be a nice motivator that keeps peoples interest. I've had too many problems with people quitting their job halfway through

    Sorry, but this is the wrong place to ask D: I'd suggest you asking in Rom-Hacking, but I'm not fully sure this is allowed there either :x
