Will there ever be a pokemon series where the 3 main characters are all grown up

well acuely baby pokemon could grow old, they only evolve when they train and a pichu certainly doesn't have to train all it's life, it could just be a pet and stay at home all it's life and age. Anyway about the charectors growing old, i don't think it would work out, because then it would mess up the story line, i mean if he was like 20 in the show ppl would think he would be pretty pathetic that it took him 20 years just to become a pokemon master and 20 years to train his pokemon and 20 years....i don't think so, if they did show a show with Ash already defeating the leauge the show would be pointless, all he would be doing was probably talking to his friends of degeating team rocket. That;s another thing, people would also think it was pretty stupid that Jessy and James spent 20 years fallowing some kid just to get some pikachu, i don't think it's going to happen

The thing is, Pokemon don't really show exterior signs of aging all that much unless they're really, really old. Remember that machoke that dojo master had? I twas so old when ti moved it's hip gave way, but physically it looked no older than your average machoke.

It's only sign of age was its blue eyes. =P Other than its slight appearence between its eyes, it look as old as Ash's..

I think it would very interesting to see the main characters all grown up and still training pokemon as well as dealing with other issues such as relationships and romance at the same time

I can understand the ones in this thread who are against the pokemon characters being all grown up..... but lets look at the obvious it has happened to other shows such as Dragonball Z and Rugrats so it's going to happen to Pokemon maybe not in the current season or season afterwards perhaps it will happen after the Diamond & Pearl season theres always the possiblity

I predict that if this happens, there will be a whole new level of storyline, where there is some main villain that the group has to defeat. I also predict that the series will become more serious and possibly, a bit darker. There might even be blood, who knows? Of course, it's all just speculation.

It wouldn't happen. Charm is everything. It'd loose its charm and innocence. Watch GetBackers (good idea) if you wanna get 'mature'.
