What got you into the genera of music that you listen too now?
It doesn't matter what you listen too, and this topic isn't to debate on which is the best, but how you found that love for music.

For me, I use to listen to R&B (Never would have guess that would you :P) When I was in my early days of Secondary School, but I made friends with some people who listened to rock music. They let me borrow their albums and I loved them.

After that, I decided to search for different bands and so on. I found a band called 'Bullet for my Valentine' and when to see them live. Their support act was 'As I Lay Dying' and they were amazing.
Ever since then, they have got me listening to Metal music and I have never looked back =]

Well I probably listen to classic rock the most. I guess what got me so into it was my dad. Since he was young when that music was popular he plays a lot of the songs whenever we were in the car. It just grew on me. I suppose you could say I listen to just about eveything from the 60's. So it goes a little bit further than just classic rock.

I've always listened to electronic music, the first I can remember being Daft Punk back when I was 8/9 years old. I just listened to the radio to find new bands; I soon started listening to other electronic music artists, Faithless, Chicane & Moby are amongst the few I can remember. lol, I remember staying up until 2AM listening to the radio because that's when they'd play all the electronic trance & dance music; I still appreciate a lot of this music, but not as much as I used to.

I got into rock music after I started listening to my mum's CDs, she listens to Muse, RHCP, Gorillaz and even Linkin Park, lmao. My dad has had no influence on my music taste at all. Hardly any of my friends cared for music and if they did, it would be S-Club 7 or Westlife, lol, so they didn't influence me at all either.
After searching the internet over the past year I found my new favourite bands myself.
