4th Gen Will you catch Entei and Raikou early?

    Will you catch Entei and Raikou as soon as they escape from the burnt tower? They start roaming when your pokemon should all be at approximately level 30 (unless you love grinding), which is right before Morty's battle. They are at level 40.

    I'm looking for them right now, and I'm planning on replacing my Quilava with the Entei but keeping the Raikou in my box as I already have a Flaffy in training.

    What are you doing with them?

    NOTE: Suicune is found later on in post-elite four next to bill's house.

    Oh crap I completely forgot that they were in the game =/
    Since I've beaten Red already and have nothing else to do, guess that I'll hunt for them.
    Time to catch some Zu/Golbats with meanlook.

    //edit I just noticed that Suicune isn't on the map, how does he become "catchable"?

    Suicune is catchable buy searching the map, it hides in a place sorta like Lugia and Ho-Oh, its just being able to find its stationary position.
     
    i will probably capture them when my pokemon are level 35-40 ish
     
    My friend was talking to me on msn then he started playing it and walked in the grass and shortly after found Entei and was able to capture it, I was pretty shocked when i found out ^_^, But who wouldn't ??
     
    as soon as i can really i caught raikou by chance and i got suicune when you can battle it so all im looking for now is entai
     
    i already caught a 40 lv. entei while my highest pok. was still lv.32
     
    I caught Entei after my Jasmine battle ^__^ Still need Rakiou, I have an Ampharos as my lead though :D. Rakiou is paralyzed and red, so I may catch it for kicks. I might catch it before my Misty battle, for a bigger advantage.
     
    The 3 legendary beasts are rubbish.
     
    I'll hold back till I smash all 8 gym leaders, then I'll go catch em.
     
    Wait, you guys are playing HG/SS? No fair!

    I reckon I will catch them early on. I'm preordering both so I'll do it on one then not on the other.
    They'll give me a lot of power, plus I love them.
     
    I think I'll wait until later to catch them, I've never been big on using legendaries, so I'll look for them after I complete the story.
     
    Im going to catch them only when I find them, im not going to spend countless hours searching for it.
     
    I'll wait until i complete everything, hell, once i discovered you could get the lake trio before the elite four, i refused to let mesprit out until i got Cresselia, then went after them.
     
    I'll probably need them for the League, so hopefully, yeah. I've already seen Entei, wootz.

    So you can't catch Suicune early? Darn... I could have used it against Clair then. ;-;

    You would dare replace your starter? OMG I never understood how people can even think about doing that, the goal for a good team is to have a diverse type team, and your starter is like a freebee good Pokemon for either Water, Fire or Grass! You don't have to go hunt for a Fire Pokemon then to fill the fire slot in your team, your fire starter covers it!

    Getting rid of your starter is like burning a $1000 loan from the bank ...
     
    I'm not going to go on a heavy region search for Raikou or Entei. More than likely I'll capture them either when I run into them during travel or when I feel bored and possibly go into a search. However, I am not too keen on using legendaries in my team, so I may just capture them, EV them if right in nature and IVs, and then have it stay in my PC Box until I really need to take use of them in my team.

    I think you're taking the idea a little farther than what the original poster had in mind. It isn't as though they will be releasing it. Their starter will always be there when needed. It is just a matter of personal preference on what one wants to do with their team(s).
