4th Gen Will your Pokemon evolve in the PokeWalker?

I have a Pokemon that I want to put in the walker, but I'm afraid that if it levels while inside it'll evolve by itself and I might not be paying attention to stop it, if that's possible. So can one evolve while in the walker if it reaches the right level?

I believe the Walker treats it like the daycare. It will only gain experience when it returns to your game. The final call will fall to you.

Yeah, it's a portable daycare that you run. You battle and get items, but you don't evolve.
