Darn, I wish I can have someone writing stuff for me. Other than 90% of the episode guides, 10% of the Game Guides, and the Fan section, everything else is written by myself. Took me over 4 years to do it!

Right now, the most important thing is time, and I have none of that to spare.

Thats the biggest bit of BS I have ever heard. The only stuff I dont write myself is the Manga Summaries and the Episode Guides and occassionaly a Game Mechanic Page or two

Um.... Isn't the majority of stuff on Serebii.net anime? Therefore it's fact. I know you wrote the majority of the game stuff and all so i'm not bashing you. I'm simply stating that if i had someone writing most of the stuff i update with for me, i'd get away with cramming all that into one life and being able to update with something new every day.

I rarely bash you or your site completely, by the way, I bash the way you get on because i find it both sickening and the reason the entire Pokemon Fan-community is going down the drain. You started all this "You saw it here first" junk and now loads of other websites trying to be as big and popular as serebii.net are flinging their weight around saying the same crap. You may well be the most popular fan-site on the net, but maybe you should use it to help the other sites instead of closing them all out and putting yourself on a pedestool above all others.

No the Majority of my site is NOT Anim?, thats like 40% of it, if that.

I write most of the stuff on my site

I manage updates every day aswell as living my life because I am good at time organisation...not that I have others writing it

And no, I see you bashing everywhere I see you. The Fan Community has been going downhill for a LONG time, way before my site got popular and you're just using me and my site as a scapegoat. You say I shut everyone out and stay on a high pedastool saying I am superior, that couldn't be further from the truth. I have time and time again tried to mend things with other sites and EACH time I do it, I get backstabbed.

I didnt start the you saw it here first crap either, that has been going around since long before Pokemon showed up, and then on Pokemasters and BMG when they were at their prime

So kindly get your facts straight before insulting me
 
You call it crap... yet you continue it?

You can't complain about the fan-community going downhill when YOU'RE in the perfect position to help it. Don't try and mend bad relations with other sites. Just don't get any. Maybe that's a naive view, but you have to remember that you ARE the most popular fan-site on the net, according to the figures you post anyway.

You have the ability to use that position to help the fan-community by encouraging sharing of information and news and by promoting the other sites. All you're doing currently however is saying that Serebii.net is the ONLY place on the internet for news because you have people like Coronis helping. In fact, you HAVE said that more than once. How do you think that is helping the community?

You need to sit back and look at the monster it has become and realise that you need to help it. The only thing is that it's not going to give you any real benefit is it? So it would be a selfless act. So really, the main question there is... are you capable of that?

I never unfairly bash anything or anyone. I could easily post good points about your site if i felt like it but as far as i'm concerned until you erase the bad points and actually focus on helping the community rather than forcing it down further, the bad points are all that really matter.
 
My figures are accurate :p I can prove it if needsbe

I do encourage the sharing...people ask to use info, I almost always say Yes as long as they link to me for it (I do deserve credit where credit is due). I dont say its the only place for news, I sometimes get a bit egotistical and say its the best, but I have yet to be proven wrong on that. For the record, Coronis helps with Coro Coro info and he helped me get through Battle Frontier and a little bit of extra Emerald stuff such as translations (I admit my Japanese isnt brilliant) but I get a fair bit of news first without him.

I have been trying to help the community...more than you think but its a vast community and I cannot do much. And I dnt see how me not helping counts as a bad point for my site

Now we should stop this and stop ruining weicool's thread
 
Yes, at least we agree on one thing. We got way off topic there. Although, to be fair, i wil give you one final comment. A non-bashing one. I think you did the right thing in stopping putting great big Celebi/Serebiis all over all the pictures you got. Especially since when you were doing that, you were still (and you openly admit to this) stealing some.

Though i wouldn't say it's THE best. I'd say it's one of the first and one of the best, but putting at THE Best is unfair and unjust to every other Pokemon site on the web.

1 quick slightly off-topic qu -how did serebii work out ppn's average unique to be 10,000 per day? since on the topsite and counter it says 1500..it works out to about 10,000 per week, so is that what he meant?
i was just confused lol ^^
