    el·dritch
    /ˈeldriCH/
    adjective
    weird and sinister or ghostly.
    "an eldritch screech"
Have you been visited by a ghost before? Suddenly become uneasy for reasons unknown? Thought you saw spectres in the night or around corners? Had dreams that filled you with a supernatural dread? Any decidedly spooky experiences in general?
And what of the word itself? What ideas, memories, pictures come to mind when you hear "eldritch"? What do you associate it with?

Have you been visited by a ghost before?

    nope

Suddenly become uneasy for reasons unknown?
Yeah, but I'd hardly call it "Eldritch".

Thought you saw spectres in the night or around corners?

    Nope.

Had dreams that filled you with a supernatural dread?
    Not really...

Any decidedly spooky experiences in general?
    Nope

And what of the word itself?
It's a great word to describe something significantly creepy.

What ideas, memories, pictures come to mind when you hear "eldritch"?
I don't really think of anything personal. Just your typical crazy chtullian stuff.

What do you associate it with?
Creepy crazy stuff. It's a great word.

    Eldritch abomination.

They are a thing in Dungeons and Dragons, and they are ♥♥♥♥ing terrifying.

I've had brushes with the supernatural, yes.
-One time I dreamed that my school had this science show with a giant snake, and that the bastard got loose and killed 5 kids. Cue me waking up with 2 huge puncture wounds and serious pain. Went to school the following day, first thing the Science teach announce is Snake Day.
-Played with a Ouija Board one time, and got spook. Cue me and my friend flipping out, and throwing it in the trash. Wake up to a terrible stench, and there it is, on my desk covered in yesterday's trash. We even saw the trash man take the bag away.
-When my grandma died, for a month I would hear her whisper goodnight to me, find my bed made out of nowhere, and we would sometimes wake up to a table of food that no one made.

gotta be honest the first thing I think of when I hear eldritch is either the Luggage or "oblong" bc i am a nerd

dude WHAT??? okay there are many crazy things here but the big question i have is: what did you get bit by and did you have to go to the hospital or what even

We never did find out. We had all the windows and doors shut, so its not like something crawled in, and we checked for spiders and stuff like that, but nothing. We didn't go to the hospital as no paralysis or skin conditions appeared, and the pain left after a half an hour.

I had a ghost in one of my old apartments, I'm sure ._. eventually I moved out. It was mostly because that place was too expensive but still, it made me really uneasy.

I'd like to hope that the ghosts of my grandparents and my cat who recently passed away check in on my once in a while. And make me feel easy rather than uneasy. :)

The first thing I though when seeing this word was the trope, and Giratina...which is an example of it.

A ghost? I haven't, but my mother says she did when she was younger, having felt a strange presence hanging over her.

I tend to have lucid dreams though...one time I dreamt I was visited by a being that seemed to made out of light, standing over my bed. It touched me, but the touch didn't feel warm, but cold and paralyzing. I then woke up in the same position I was in my dream. Coincidentally when I told my older sister that she told me she had a similar dream, with the same sensation. A few years after that I told a classmate who was into conspiracy theories about my dream, he seemed weirded out as soon as I did. He told me he had the same dream.
