Question: Words not filtered?

    Well. I was typing and I typed a curse word that I was pretty sure was filtered, but the word showed up whats up?
     
    Well, I think that the censor takes a while to kick in or glitches at times. I remember when someone said a swear word on the VM system and it slipped through.
     
    Some of them just may not take in general. I would give an example of one, but I don't know if I'd get into trouble for it. XD​
     
    I wouldn't think that you would get in trouble, I mean it would be the censor thing's fault... but you never know.
     
    Rukario told me if it's not censored it's not the Community's concern, only words spoken in America are. Of course it's not to say uncensored words should be said, since the admins have likely missed a few, new ones emerge, all that stuff.
    Per example, when I suggested bugger for censoring it was refused, while another term was accepted and added to the list.

    This was a long time ago though, the admins' attitude might've changed.
     
    My stance is: So long as you aren't insulting someone with it, it's probably okay. If you find a certain word not in our filters is particularly offensive, though, just PM a staff admin or Rukario and we'll look into it and add it if necessary. (Alternatively if a word is censored and you're pretty sure it shouldn't be, do the same.)

    It doesn't take any time (it blocks it when the post is made), nor does it glitch. There are ways around the censor (and thus likely what you saw if that word is on the censor list). Like Erica said, just PM one of the Admins. And it has to be Staff Admin or Rukario, the AAs and S-Mods aren't able to check what's on the list.
