Anyone else here think that Brasil won't do as well as they would with renaldinho? Poor excuse from the coach

"I can't focus on winning 2014 if I focus on winning 2010" Paraphrasing but still wow! Great Sense man.

Brilliant from the Koreans, they fully deserve to be level at half time. They've showed passion, guile, defended resolutely and Brazil just don't have a reply to it.

Would love them to hang on or even nick a goal but unfortunately I can see them tiring as the match progresses and Brazil scoring a couple of goals.

Wow, what if North Korea actually draws against Brazil. Even though that's not a win, that'd still be considered an upset that Brazil couldn't even take care of them.

What an unpredictable World Cup this has been. It's almost unpredictable as the Jabulani ball. :P

Man this World Cup has started poorly, excluding the Germany game. Hilariously lucky goal by Maicon btw :D.

Aww, gutted for Korea after they've defended so resolutely ):

Excellent finish from Maicon. I had a feeling it would have taken a moment of class or something similar in order to score past this Korean defence, and it's proved to be the case.

Eh? How was it lucky? O_o

I'm convinced he intended a cross, i dunno i have to see it again. (Awaits replay)

Yeah he looked into the box for a cross, that's how i see it. Both valid answers, doesn't really matter anyway. Hope Brazil can bag a few more, the Koreans are looking tired.

Just as i wrote this they score :D.

AH well, 2-0 and I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up more.

Still no shame in defeat for North Korea, they've played well.

Come on Korea!!! Could be in for an epic conclusion to this game!

They lost 2-1 but what a performance from them, undone by a couple of moments of magic by Brazil.

North Korea this tournament's dark horses?

N.K.'s a lot better than I thought they would be... A LOT better.

Great performance there from North Korea. I think they deserved a point.

Well not the tournament-changing game I hoped for but some good attacking play at both ends.

North Korea certainly put up a good fight.

Maicon's goal, if intended, was brilliant.

I honestly don't think Maicon intended that. I think it was the ball.

The ball is starting to get some criticism from outfield players too now. Too be honest, M'Bia and Ronaldo are the only ones who have had great shots using it and the amount of goalkeeper mistakes can't have appeared from nowhere, I am starting to doubt the ball.

^ Good news on another problem though. Those vuvuzelas could be taken away from our broadcasts.

Oh and can anyone vote for Ivory Coast on the poll? I feel sorry for them. :D

Part of me wants the vuvuzelas to be taken away. They are so annoying

Another part of me wants them to stay because they do give the matches an African atmosphere. Although a nice African drum would be less annoying.

Get rid of them, they're complete rubbish. I wonder if you gathered up a bunch of beehives and stuffed them in a stadium if the noise the bees would produce would even come near the amount of noise he vuvuzelas produce....

I /hate/ them with a passion.

As shown in this article, Fifa's president, Sepp Blatter, will not ban them from the tournament.
https://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/soccer/world-cup-2010/06/14/vuvuzelas/index.html

This article talks about the new measures that television providers are taking to reduce the vuvuzela noise. It's kind of a cool read. If Fifa won't do it, at least someone will....sort of....for tv watchers only. The stades are still going to be just as loud.

Portugal v Ivory Coast. Potentially one of the better games of the tournament...Ends up sucking balls. As have most of the games.

North Korea scored though...I went so asdsdgkfgl with happiness. That and Kid Icarus in one day? Oh my god I'm so happy :D

Besides Germany, it seems as if all the high caliber teams are having boring and low scoring first matches and a lot of lesser teams are standing up to the big dogs and even pulling a few upsets.

I can't wait for the round of 16 to start. These group stages are hella boring.

I mean, just look at today, there was no reason why Brazil shouldn't have manhandled North Korea...
