    I've been trying to insert new world maps in FireRed.
    Using Neti's guide I was able to successfully replace the Kanto map. However, I can't find any way to edit the Sevii Islands. They don't appear to be available in UNLZ, and nobody seems to know the offsets for their tilesets or tilemaps.

    Have I just been looking in the wrong places for information? Is this common knowledge?

    Okay, everything worked and I have my 4 custom maps! Hooray!

    Now, I have a tangentially related problem. (I didn't want to make another thread just for this since the topic is still the same.)

    I have expanded the maximum number of map names that the game uses from 109 to 197 using THIS TUTORIAL.

    It all worked flawlessly, with one tiny hitch. I have no idea what I'm supposed to change the "limiter bytes" to? Every value I set them to seems to affect nothing in Advance Map. I open up the world editor and it doesn't allow me to place any maps before 0x58 or past 0xC5.

    In my hack, I have managed to insert a new map over the first Sevii Isles map, but it breaks the game when opened if I add more than four towns. Any ideas?

    Go to a backup and use HMA to edit the Worldmap's.
