As you know in the first three Generations, all important words were Capitalized. But in some cases, RGBY in particualar, completely worthless information is noted upon.

One such example is when you talk to a Scientist after you've already defeated him is Silph Co. He speaks of Silph's Tiksi Branch, Located in "No-man's land Russia". "Tiksi Branch" is fully capitalized.

I personally love it because I've gotten used to it with the game.

I've never noticed that since all I did was pressed A repeatedly to skip all of the text. never read it

What do you mean by fully capitalized? If you mean the way it is quoted, then it is fine because Tiksi Branch in a proper name.

He means that every letter is capitalized like TIKSI BRANCH. The capitalization annoyed me, but it made the important things more noticeable.

It's never really bothered me, it's just one of those quirks. Personally, I've grown to quite like it, because I imagine them speaking, and just yelling those random words.

At first I didn't mind it, but I've grown to find it slightly annoying because when I name my Pokemon, I feel like I have to put them in all caps otherwise it'll be left out from everything else. For example:

BUG CATCHER _____ sent out CATERPIE!

    JOHN sent out Spidey.

So I keep having to have my Pokemon in all caps. Which limits my options a lot.

I never really paid attention to the text in RBY.
But they always have to capitalize "POKEMON" like its that important. xP

I make a mockery of this in my FireRed run through. It's an overused joke, but it's still funny how I recieved the BOULDERBADGE from BROCK. TIKSI BRANCH always made me wonder though. Then COMMUNISM came to mind.

I never liked how anything of notability is capitalised or given an italic or coloured name in RPGs. :(

Did you ever stop to think that maybe just maybe they were after all important? Possibly due to the factors of he plot!!! GEEZ, I wish PEOPLE would use their HEADS!

I don't remember that one... Though I do remember other useless ALL CAP words...

Glad to see I'm not the only one who does that! D:

I find it more surprising that the game actually refrences the real world location of Russia.
Doesn't it seem a bit out of place?
"Yeah we have a branch in Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, and Russia"
    "Yeah in Moscow town"
And you start off in St. Peterburg town where Prof. Putin gives you your pokemon.
Until you battle Team Rocket and their plans to use Pokemon to spread communism.
And you have to defeat the leader, Team Rocket Boss Stalin.
And thats Gen V summed up perfectly for you...

    xD

    DOC used REPLY TO THREAD:

Lol i don't really mind it
it adds to the feel...or something :D
I'm used to it by now :>

If all names in the games are with capital letters, why wouldn't TIKSI BRANCH be? It's a name and it has to be with capital letters. I see it that way. Nothing else.

It's still a place, and by that point in the game, you don't know everything about the game. Maybe the players would think it's another location... They allcaps any proper now, which would otherwise be just capitalised.

The fact that they referred to somewhere in the real world is strange, though.

Is it the same for FRLG? I know it's the same in Yellow Version.

This annoys me when they put people's names in Caps because I always use lower case for my name on the games. So when I open my computer its like
    BILLS PC
    Joes PC
    OAKS PC
    HALL OF FAME

    It just looks wrong -_-
