Sorry if this has been discussed before, but I have been thinking recently - we have just had the first few Pok?mon from Gen 3 released, and the rest are set to be released over the next few months. That means 3 Gens in the space of a year and a half. At this rate, Pok?mon Go is on track to catch up with the core series pretty quickly (assuming they don't slow down).
With this in mind, do you think they would ever be bold enough to launch a new generation of Pok?mon on Pok?mon Go before they hit the core series?
If not a whole new Gen, would they do one or two new Pok?mon that are exclusive to Go? This might be something they could do if they every bring in connectivity with the core games - an incentive for people to play both, similar to version exclusives in the normal games. Maybe some Pok?mon Go exclusive forms?
I could certainly see these kind of things bringing (back) a lot of players, but then again they may alienate some of the core fan base.
What are your thoughts?
