4th Gen Would you have prefered...?

    Would you have preferred two Johto remakes as they are, or would you have liked to see one Crystal remake with all the features of both games?

    This question was brought up to me over Google Talk, and I just wanted to know others' thoughts on the subject.

    I would have preferred one Crystal remake, I loved my Suicune <3.
     
    of course crystal remake,but i'm happy with HG/SS

    Crystal was still different in many respects. Even though HG/SS contains many of the features (boy/girl option for example) they are still some things like the Poliwag on the route before Violet city, different eggs to receive instead of just Togepi, ect.

    I do see your point though.
     
    Meh, Suicune was cool, but its in HG/SS so i'm not bothered.
     
    As much as I love crystal, I don't think I ever see Nintendo releasing a remake. But i am very happy with HG/SS.
     
    I would have preferred a Crystal remake as well. It would have been nice to have an actually updated version of the first Pokemon game I played! But HG/SS is nice too, so I'm not complaining... :)

    You choose the Crystal remake option and yet you ask about that quest? =P

    The Eusine-Suicune quest is a subplot that was added into Crystal and wasn't in GS, but is in HGSS as well. Personally I do feel that HGSS is actually more a Crystal remake than anything - besides having that that which is the biggest addition Crystal had by far, it has the extra radio show Crystal had, a Battle Tower (only in hgss it's the tower + rest of the frontier), the ExtremeSpeed Dratini and quiz for the 8th gym... the only things HGSS has that Crystal didn't was (bar differing obtainable Pokemon but they always differ and minor details like poliwag in an earlier pond by a very short walking distance when you can't even get the Old Rod doesn't cut it for me as a notable difference) is the Odd Egg, and some would say Krys too but hey there's a girl protagonist anyways and better not stir up that point anyways. -_- So it comes down to the Odd egg, which is a shame it isn't in IMO but a minor thing from Crystal that isn't in and shiny Pokemon are easier to get these days (plus you still get the Red Gyarados).

    So I like things as they are now - I see no need for a Crystal-only version (I like being able to choose the Silver remake anyways, as Silver was my first game =P)
     
    Crystal remake. Although I'm still apprehensive and think they might make one. Which is one of the reasons I'm not getting HG/SS. It'll be really irritating if they make a Crystal Remake for those who have HG/SS but I would love it. I haven't played but it sounds like the best one ever made. But since HG/SS have Kanto, I don;t see much possibility of it being made, but I would still like it to be made.

    It's pretty much confirmed that there will not be a third version, as the fifth generation is right around the corner. :\

    Well, if it would have everything HG/SS had and more, then that's why I'd pick Crystal. XD

    But what is the subplot? What is it about?
     
    I'm happy with HGSS, but I would definitely like to see a remake of Crystal. The only reason being as I never got to finish the original Crystal version...or any other II generation games. : \
     
    I'm content with SS/HG but don't get me wrong I would have enjoyed a Crystal remake as well. But hey, at least theres a remake entirely of Silver and Gold and for that I am thankful.
     
    hmm, well crystal was the first pokemon game i've ever gotten, so a crystal remake would be nice :D
    but HG and SS are fine with me.
     
    Crystal, becuz we'd probably be able to get Rayquaza and both Latis without need of trading. Personally, I was hoping for a Crystal remake cuz then I could choose either Gold or Krys (Lyra's okay, but no one can replace Krys and her blue hair XD)
