    I certainly kept Pikachu in my team when I tried out Yellow. XD It was a neat feature I thought, certainly. I quite liked that it returned in HGSS too (not the see-its-face aspect, but certainly the following-you and the fact you could talk to Pokemon part of it). (It was one of the most discussed parts of HGSS when it was first reviewed in a promo video that the starters could follow you, heh).
