I thought of the first film being called Pokémon Yellow Version. It would closely follow the events for the Gen I games. The sequels would be Pokémon Crystal Version, Pokémon Emerald Version, and so on.

I just can't see a live-action Pokemon movie turning out very well...

I would love it! But it would probably end up very Ash Ketchum-y. Meaning very childish and without a proper plot.

Something like what they did with the new TNMT movie would be cool. Make it a bit more realistic and mature, without loosing the defining goofyness.

Of course there would be the problem with how to portrait pokemon in a not too realistic way. We still want them to look like they do in tje cartoons, after all :/

A live action Pokémon movie would be nice, but I wouldn't be too interested. If it does happen, I hope it does not turn out to be like the Super Mario Bros. movie. x(

    No. Lord, NO. Live action movies of video game franchises NEVER turn out well. Or, at least, I've yet to see one that I haven't recoiled from in horror. They're getting fairly good with CGI now, so I doubt the Pokemon themselves would be the problem, but...I really doubt they'd find actors to do justice to the characters, and the script probably wouldn't live up to expectations either. I know that's very defeatist and negative, but...well, I've yet to have a positive experience with live action films based off video games, and the franchises they're based off haven't exactly been bad ones, so...yeah, my mind recoils at the thought of this. Sorry. xD;

I've always wondered how Pokémon would if it were put into some live-action film of sorts, so I'd say yes just to see.

Though, one thing I hope they stay away from is trying too hard to focus towards being family-friendly. Of course, it would be nice if all groups of people were able to view--including children--I believe they would have to include mature scenes in there to have the movie be worthwhile. If they have parts where Pokémon battle against each other, I'd imagine things to be rather destructive and action-packed, kind of like how Autobot-Decepticon fights are portrayed in Transformers films.

It'll likely take some time for them to consider making such a thing, however. Currently, they're pretty successful with their games and anime, as it seems, so unless they begin dwindling at some point in future, I don't feel they'll be rolling out any mature (well, not precisely mature, I suppose, but you know) content.

I'm almost sure I wouldn't like it if they made it, but I loved how you selected the third game of each generation to be represented in them.

I don't think they should do it. Not because most video game movies turn out bad, but because pokemon is really based on the cutesie factor it has. I don't think pokémon designs translate to the real world that well. Even with good CGI, I think the design's just wouldn't work, pokémon are just a little too goofy.
I would love a pokémon movie in the style of a pixar movie, though.

I don't feel good about it. Can't imagine how pokémons would be made. I had some really bad impressions with the Dragonball and Detective Conan live movies.

Uhhh, personally, no. I can't see it coming out very well. I'm just imagining something like Howard the Duck, Avatar:TLA, Garfield, Dragonball Evo, or The Smurfs...filled with unfunny pop culture references and terrible adaptation of the original story.
Cartoon/anime to live action usually doesn't transfer well (Super Mario movie hahaha I actually love how bad that one is). Not to mention I feel like people would never be satisfied with the actors chosen to portray their beloved characters.
But who knows? I've been pleasantly surprised before.

I believe that they absolutely can get ahold of some fitting actors and put them in good looking, canon outfits, and give them nice, canon tech (Pokeballs, Pokedex, etc.), and write a great story; that can all be done very well, if they WANT to, otherwise they would just do a terrible crap job of it and we'd end up with something like the live-action "Dragonball Evolution" tragedy, or worse, the "The Legend of Chun-Li" disaster.

But the really iffy part is the Pokemon themselves, and having them appear as actually presentable creatures. Having the Pokemon look great and real (including their activities, such as using their special abilities and battling), and having them sound great. That's perfectly possible too, judging from great-looking computer generated creatures in other big-time movies.

So my answer is yes, but only if they do it well. Otherwise, no.

They have to look "real," and organic (and still have the correct design). It's a live-action, real-world movie. That doesn't mean they will look bad or unexciting. They would need to make them look real and look great. Compare to Dobby (and Kreacher) from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.

Or even the dragon from the Gringotts. (That could be our Aerodactyl with the correct design.)

Would you really want real people with cartoon-ish looking Pokemon, like this?

That looks so, so corny. Might as well just watch the anime.

it would be interesting to see a live action movie but the budget would need to be extremely high and not to mention all the computer graphics that would need to go into it. I would not like a pokemon movie to end like that live-action DBZ movie. Also, if a live action was to be made, I think it would come out better if it has the same vibe as Pokemon Origins.

There's no doubt that I'd watch a live action Pokemon movie if it were to come out, but I'd go into it with low expectations. Considering a good portion of the movie would have to be CGI, they'd need a huge budget if they wanted to make it look good. Granted, Pokemon's been a cash cow for TPCi and Nintendo for the past decade and a half, so it's not like they're tight on money, but I doubt they'd want to spend hundreds of millions of dollars on a live-action movie, when the anime (and its movies) are doing fine as it is.

No. I don't think it'd fit the theme of pokémon. Would just look strange.
