Would you stay or leave?

I couldn't care less about being part of staff, neither did I come to PC with the aim of ruling the place. So yes, I'd stay.
 
Back when I first joined/hit staff, the only way to be an admin in any way was to own one of the Community Sites. The highest rank you could attain as a member was S-Mod. Even when the Site Admins needed people to do Admin CP stuff... they just gave S-Mods the required section with no title upgrade. Eventually a few people managed to overthrow that but even before then, I never left. And now that I'm the highest rank possible, I still have no intention of leaving.

And I imagine even if I quit and could never be staff again, I'd stick around.
 
Gaining ranks is always fun if you earn them. :D

Though, if I were stuck as an s-mod forever, then I would still around. xD Even if I were down-graded to a regular member and was never let back on staff, I wouldn't leave PC. I genuinely love this place, and that's not effected much by what rank I am. Although, being on staff keeps things interesting during low times where not much else is happening, but still..
 
I am too busy to accept a higher position if that were possible somehow. Having more responsibilities than I already shoulder isn't worth it, so I'd settle for a normal member. Consequently, I will stay here regardless.
 
Since I didn't post a reply to this upon creating it, I figured I might as well now.

tbh, asking this question now for me = I'd stay. However, if I were to be demoted right now and told I could never be a mod again, then I'd probably leave. idk, I really like the moderation side of posting around PC, as well as helping people etc and if anything, that keeps me here. Not sure I'd be checking PC as much or caring as much now if I weren't a mod.

And asking this question before I got modded? I'd have left, depending on when I was told. Like, there was a time period where I just sorta enjoyed everything and didn't really care, so I'd have stayed probably, buuutt anywhere from May up until when I got modded last year, then I'd have left. But yeah since the opening post said to be truthful, there's the truth. :x

Oh yeah, and if I were told I could stay a mod forever, that'd be perfectly fine with me. :3
 
I didn't come here to become a mod, I came here to talk about Pokemon, help people and ask for help. So it doesn't really matter to me

I'd stay. Ranks don't really mean a lot to me. Well, maybe a small insignificant bit.. but that's all. Sure it would be fun to be a moderator someday, but I don't think I joined PC to be a moderator with a fixed mindset. All I cared about at that time was having a good time, and still do. I don't really get why people would leave on such a small and meaningless justification; it really doesn't strike me.
 
I'm here to stay, regardless of whether or not I've been put on the blackball list.

Rank is meaningless. I cant say I would ever be "more active" than I typically am if that were the case, but that isn't important either. I wouldn't accept a promotion to moderator unless they could convince me I earned it anyway. It's a perfectionist thing. :<

I really want to be the very last person to be considered. If someone else is qualified, let them have it. PLEASE! I so do not wanna be a lamb.
 
I would stay, of course. There are still things I can do to help my preferred sections and the users of PC without being on staff. When I'm not slacking off I feel like I do good work and I do like what I do, so I wouldn't just ditch it all.
 
I originally joined to download SG like half the population who joined before HGSS's release, but stayed around for the RP section. And even though it would be nice to be a higher position, I wouldn't leave just because I suddenly find out that it's impossible for me to be promoted here.
 
I wouldn't care, so long as the mods don't turn into PokeComm-Gestapo agents right after the 'Stone-Setting,' I like it here.
 
You don't have to be staff to be important or recognized by people. Being staff (or being a rank up, I guess) shouldn't make or break you being here, because staff-ness should not be the reason you join and participate in a forum, lol. ;(

So yes, I would stay.
 
I didn't come here for a rank, I came to download ROM's and discuss stuff... things with nothing to do with Pokemon most of the time. Of course I would stay, I'm unlikely to even be a mod anyway, what with my chronic inactivity.

Having said that, I'm not that inactive, I'm here a lot, I just don't post.

I've been a staffie on popular forums before (close to the size of PC) and it's really nothing special. Sure, it's cool or whatever, but it's a lot of responsibility. And people constantly bother you. xD
 
I wasn't even aware there was such a type of mindset as this. o.O
I always thought being part of a message board was to take part in discussions, and whether you enjoy the environment and discussions is what determines if you stay or leave. Wanting to leave because you are not able to achieve a higher ranking in status sounds rather...farcical. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing inexpedient wanting to succeed and make better of yourself, but wanting to quit and leave b/c you weren't able to garner a higher status is somewhat melodramatic.
Quite frankly, if I were to be given the opportunity to become a moderator, I would have to respectfully decline. So, I'm quite content not climbing any higher in the rankings.
So, yeah, I'd stay in regards to this hypothetical. n_n Whether I stay or not for any other reason is another thing. xD
