6th Gen X/Y Third Version Speculation Thread

Not open for further replies.
I'm currently wondering about Ash-Greninja .
What if its loses its ability to megevolve because of this ?
Most of us was completely sure that wasn't Mega Greninja because it didn't seem like a Mega.
So , What if The 3rd version reveal Mega Greninja who stronger and cooler then Ash-Greninja ?
Let be honest , Most of us imagine Mega Greninja to be like this guy--
Spoiler:

Thats What Greninja remind of us !!!

As hackers revealed long time ago, there are 2 games left that are compatible with XY and ORAS. However, it seems the next game will be called Z unlike our thoughts of it being XZ YZ / X2 Y2 / etc. And thus we are left with one open spot for a game to be compatible with the other games. (As this 'Z' version takes up one of the two spots)
Several things point out we're getting the old classical single third game next year:
- The Anime title has been updated to XY & Z. Previously, it was just XY, named after the related games X and Y. Since the title has added a Z, it seems likely the next game will be called Z.
- We speculated that the new game(s) would have their own Zygarde forme as mascot with both of these formes respectively to learn Thousand Arrows and Thousand Waves.
We've learned there are no 'version exclusive' formes. Just the 10%, 50% and 100%. Meaning that a single game would go perfect with these formes.

My other concern is that Pokemon GO showed a timeline with a hint towards the next generation. The timeline has a dot at 2016, with a blank spot. This (presumed) third version will be released next year in 2016. But what about the hinted Gen VII? Will the next gen be released in the same year or is the dot/mark just a dot/mark for Pokemon GO?

At this rate I wouldn't be surprised if Perfect Zygarde's our mascot or all Zygarde are going to be our mascot, more like a depiction of five of them in a cover.

Yeah. I believe the Zygarde forms aren't two beings a la White Kyurem and Black Kyurem. They are something that is similar to evolution, Flat > Core > 10% > 50% > 100%.

That is why I said from my previous posts that a Gen 7 is possible next year, since gaming trends are fast nowadays. Therefore transition periods will be considerably shorter nowadays, who would have thought ORAS are going to be released a year after XY? If one follows the tradition, ORAS should be released this year or even next year! Lol

Unless Ash-Greninja is officially announced or explicitly shown to be in our upcoming game(s), I believe we shouldn't make any gaming speculation about it. {XD}

I'm going with Sun on this one. It's not final that Greninja doesn't get a mega form because it got a special exclusive form. I also doubt that this Greninja will be available in the games. I can see it be merched as plushie or as Greninja's skin at Smash bros and in general the special form of any game Greninja is a part of, but can't see why they would add it in the game, unless it is something that can be met more than once.

Many people can get Mega Greninja and a Greninjite. Gamefreak releases it.
Many people could strengthen their bond with it and it ends up to this appearance. Gamefreak releases it.
Only Ash is able to achieve such bond and it only looks like him. Why would Gamefreak release that in the games, ESPECIALLY when Ash is not mentioned in any of those?

Also, I just remembered that someone in Lumiose city was saying that the grandson of the famous Professor Oak was here (at the place the person was) and he was an awkward character. "The only thing he said was smell ya later!" or something , I think the person was in a Pokemon center. And my itchy brain keeps on speculating: What if the next game actually has a connection to Kanto? Or what if the next game (after the one we know) is a Kanto remake (20th anniversary) ? I know I keep repeating that, but if there is ONE thing I want to do is play through Kanto on 3d. And I mean the whole region and features, not that small piece that HG/SS offered. Anyways, this character leaves a lot for speculation as well. Maybe we have a special battle with Gary in the next game and we can speculate further from the hints that are given there.

EDIT: I found it! https://i.imgur.com/JxAYUBv.jpg

i'm pretty sure that was supposed to be a joke. most games get references to previous games mixed in.
still, that npc could have just as easily refereed to him as the viridian city gym leader. i guess he's eternally stuck in the shadow of his grandpa success. not even his own grandfather remembers his name lol

I mentioned earlier that the other game could be Pokémon Go. It has some connection to the main games according to the press conference where it was revealed.

We'll have to wait till tomorow although I think they r going to announce it next month. In any case, thanks for sharing your thoughts and speculations, love browsing through it :)

Actually I don't think they will announce anything. I read that Nintendo doesn't do TGS...sorry for getting everyone excited :(

Call me crazy, but I don't think I've ever been this excited about a Legendary in my life. I hope we get a game announcement soon, waiting for this month's reveal felt like a pain in the butt. Once we get the basic reveal and info, I'll be solid. I'll be golden. I'll be solid gold.

Oh man I feel the exact same. I am really excited about getting back into Kalos. Playing the R/S remakes, which I would have said were my favorite Pokemon games until now, made me realize how much even small aspects have made all the difference in Pokemon. The design changes they've made moving up to 6th gen have been too good to move away from. Even as limited as it was, the customization of our trainer was really hard to leave behind and the design of the overworld to make HMs less needed to move in the world was fantastic. Here's hoping they just make HMs teachable but not actually one of the four moves your Pokemon has in its set.

I also really liked Zygarde as a legendary and think this forme thing is really cool. If they add in some extra stuff at the end of the game, I think this final version of Kalos will take the place at the top of my list of favorite Pokemon experiences. It would be a bonus to have more wild locations to visit!

I'm really hoping that when the 3rd game comes out (I think "Z" is all but confirmed at this point as a name to be honest) that they don't choose to do the 2 game split is my main concern. I didn't appreciate Black2 and White2, I liked all the singular titles Yellow/Crystal/Emerald/Platinum. I'm not really sure how they could do a split at all but it's been a worry since generation 5 for me that they would do it again. I'm not cynical enough to believe that they made 2 games in gen5 for a cash grab though - I could understand the concept behind it, but urgh. I like to collect all the games and it's just better if they compact it all into one game.

I am looking forward to playing Z though - I sort of glossed over ORAS a bit because I didn't think it metaphorically held enough water (ironically because the game was full of water, hehe) compared to XY. So an improved XY should be amazing :> I'm really intrigued by the Zygardes too. I'm wondering whether the Zygarde cell form will be classified in the Pokedex properly since the description of it says "scientists can't decide if it is actually a Pokemon" and I want to see if it will be in combat at all with the whole no moves thing - ie it would default to using struggle in combat. At present it's actually impossible to have a Pokemon with no moves, so there's all sort of implications about Cellgarde if he's actually combat available. Could be possible to lead to some glitches as well perhaps if they are going to enable it so even one Pokemon can have 0 moves. Despite everyone else thinking it's a tragic idea as well I'd... honestly kind of like to see extra Zygarde forms too (like for a 20% Zygarde, 30% and so on.) I think it would be interesting for it to be so versatile. And if that's not a thing they implement into the games I hope the community picks up on it as a concept and goes to have fun with all the Fakemons :)

Perfect Zygarde could be a danger though. One criticism I have is that they're getting a bit silly with the Base Stat Totals of the legends recently. He dodged the bullet of being a mega/primal at least, but I don't want to see Nintendo constantly putting stuff with a BST of 780 into the games (Mega Mewtwos, Mega Rayquaza, Primal Groudon, Primal Kyogre). He's described as being stronger than Yveltal and Xerneas which have 680, so I would speculate he'd be in the normal range of 700 BST which is standard for most legends if Nintendo are thinking with any sense, but considering they seem to be fixated on adding absurdly powerful things into the game I'm not so sure.

Honestly though I'm not sure what else they could add. They'll add an extra story arc with Zygarde I'm certain - possibly something with Yveltal and Xerneas goes wrong and there's a misbalance in their powers of life and destruction and Zygarde has to awaken his perfect form in order to balance it - since that's what his supposed power is. We didn't see much of Zygarde in XY to be honest so his power was never really shown to the audience. XY had such a wide range of Pokemon in the Pokedex though - it was HUGE and it was great that you got so much access to the old Pokemon, but I'm not sure it will feel as fresh with Z version unless they literally just decide to give you access to everything all in one game. I'd love to see some new megas (which I'm sure will happen) or maybe even some new Pokemon put into the 6th generation dex (not so sure will happen) to keep us on our feet.

My only regret right now is that players in Europe aren't getting a Pokemon game for Christmas. I sat through the whole of this year being like "when will they reveal Z? Come on!" because I wasn't a big fan of ORAS, and even though I think we're really close us Europes aren't getting a Pokemon game for the Christmas period (Not even Mystery dungeon) which is a little sad.

I also worry about the two version thing...if it weren't for BW getting a pair of sequels I would've gotten every game in a generation for the first time ever...but alas that didn't happen. I also liked better the third versions over sequel games. B2W2 didn't feel very different from BW (though B2W2's story was lame compared to BW's) and could've worked as a single sequel with the same main characters as BW just with more post game areas to explore.

I actually think that Perfect Zygarde will be 780 or 790. I say this as eventually Xerneas and Yvetal will get Megas or special forms themselves (most likely XY remakes), unless of course Zygarde needs to absorb the two...in that case 780 like Mewtwo and Mega Rayquaza.

So I guess the title of the first episode has come up:

https://mobile.twitter.com/BulbaNewsNOW/status/644402922210652160

This has made me think of something... I've seen people speculate that Zygarde is closely connected with Infinite Energy, the stuff that comes from Pokemon, meteors, Ultimate Weapon, Mega Stones and Key Stones, ect. IIRC, when Sootopolis was formed in ORAS, the energy that's pouring out of the Cave of Origin is coming from underground. This episode title is insinuating that Zygarde is coming from underground.

According to Pokemon X , Lysandre should become immortal instate of dying.
I wonder if the 3rd version feather an immortal Lysandre.
Also , The Magazine said that "Other New Pokemon" will appear after revealing Zygarde forms! Which let me wonder if the 3rd version will introduce brand new Pokemon.
Unless Ash-Greninja is officially announced or explicitly shown to be in our upcoming game(s), I believe we shouldn't make any gaming speculation about it. {XD}

I wonder if Anime can create Alternate evolution/transformation of Pokemon.
If They could then they should have done it in a Movie where Zygarde goes out of control so Xerneas & Yveltal create a temporally mega stone for Ash-Greninja to megevolve and defeat Zygarde.
Kind a like Youkai Watch Movie--

I guess , Ash-Greninja will appear in Pokken Tournament.

New Pokemons means 3 things.

New formes, new megas or gen 7 stuff.

Add one more, an unreleased Pokémon like Volcanion.

It doesn't need to insinuate. Lmao
First, it is a Ground-type Pokémon.
Second, it is based on the dragon that dwells under the root of Yggdrasil from the Norse mythology.
Third, Zygarde lives in a basement-level in Terminus Cave.

But that's not what I'm trying to get at, though.

I guess I'll keep my mouth shut from now on.

What are you trying to get at, come on I'm curious. Are you trying to say that since Zygarde comes from under ground and seems to produce some kind of energy and so too does Natural Energy come from underground that Zygarde is connected to the events in Hoenn somehow? If so then I think so.
You know what is interesting? Both Xerneas and Yvetal's moves involve drawing energy from somewhere. Geomancy is the flow of energy around one's surroundings and to me it seems that Xerneas absorbs the power of the earth (likely a reference to it being based partly on a tree) to power itself up. Yvetal on the otherhand absorbs the power of living thing to sustain itself. So the theory that Zygarde produces it's own energy could be proven once and for all this these games as it's the only one we don't know how it gets it's energy from.

Yes, this is what I was trying to get at. You explained it better than I could, sometimes when I get a theory developing in my head, it's difficult for me to write it out in a way that would make sense.

Shigeru Ohmori tweeted something about 8 hours ago that caught my attention. This is what I came up with on Bing Translator:

https://twitter.com/Shigeru_Ohmori/status/644450662529368064

Today is release date of "Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon" and next year's "PokemonGO". Yet Pokémon green release next year, from just 20th anniversary! The Pokémon will evolve from this, Super expectations please!

He's putting "super expectations please" and "20th Anniversary" in the same sentence, just days after we get dumped on with Zygarde stuff.

I can't breath. It's the calm before the storm. *runs to nearest storm shelter*

Green? Hmm...I wish that I knew more Kanji to be able to translate all of it myself, but most of what the Bing translation said seems about right. 'Green' likely means 'new' here as the Kanji for 'new' means 'green' or 'sprout' irc.

Edit: Nevermind, he's talking about Midori as in Green (version). Sounds like he's telling us that Pokemon will continue to evolve (they used "evolve" to refer to 2013 being the year Pokemon will "evolve" and we got XY) as in change, and to have expectations for the it (either the evolving or the anniversary, or both).
