6th Gen X/Y Third Version Speculation Thread

The anime will also have a two hour special that will look back at the series and explain several mysteries such as Ash-Greninja, and Zygarde's power. Perhaps we'll get Z announced during the special. Charizard X was featured in Origins and later they confirmed it Worldwide.

When is this special supposed to air? I also find it convenient that the XY&Z anime season will start airing in America within the next couple weeks. I feel like they're timing things awfully close for more hype potential...

Opps, left that out. It's a New Year Eve special. It'll air early in the 31st, so it'll still be the 30th here in the States.
 
To be honest, I can't really predict what Gamefreak is going to do next. My thoughts are quite Farfetch'd (HA), but ok.
I'm gonna call the game "Pokémon XYZ" For now, because I'm not really good at creating names for games.
However, what I am thinking of is a SEQUEL to Pokémon X/Y, which would be kind of like HG/SS - Two Regions. Kalos and Kanto. They have way too many parallels, That CAN'T be a coincedence.
Let me explain how this would work.
Everything would go the same, up to the first, personal meeting with Prof. Sycamore. As soon as you meet him, he tells you about a Man-Made Pokémon, that can create steam and even destroy Mountains with his two strong arms. It seems to be threatening the Kalos and Kanto Regions. Thats all he knows about the Pokémon. (Volcanion)
Later, when you've got arround 4 Badges, you'll meet Shauna again. She will tell you, about Calem and Serena, and how they've destroyed Team Flare, also telling, that Lysandre has mysteriously disappeared that day.
After beating the 8th gym, Something terrible happens.
Volcanion has appeared in Geosenge Town, Trying to get into the basement of Team Flare, and succeeds. Lysandre is still alive, down there. The Ultimate Weapon gave him immortality, so he survived his "Accident", as he calls it.
Afterwards team flare flees to Kanto, youve gotta fight it and volcanion, get the badges of Kanto, etc., etc. I hope you get what I mean!
But this is just a theory.

i feel like i should start watching pokemon subs...
i never liked how they always put such a big gap between the sub & the dub in most anime.
at least its not as big of a gap as one piece.

I think that if there is another region in the next game(s) it'll be Unova due to the implied connection between the two regions. I also can't help but feel that Plasma has some link to Kalos beyond just visiting them. If it's a sequel to XY then it'll also take place after B2W2. If so then they could have Ghetsis play some role too. Perhaps if it's a pair they'll feature the original Dragon in the other game. Interestingly the Original Dragon was also a Nation or region builder like they're suggesting Volcaion is, helping the brothers found Unova. That'll certainly break the mold...

But so would your idea, and shadowmoon's ideas of Orre...

honestly i'm hoping for a multi-region game with orre, kalos, kanto and maybe some of the other past regions(for example going to almia as a trainer rather then a ranger) & "teleport" becomes more then just a flee from battle/escape the cave move. fly would of course be usable the same way it is in oras, but one could use teleport to & from each region from some place of significance & power. for example the anistar sundial, the relic stone & mt moon.
of course the layout for teleporting between regions would require a selection screen.
 
It would be crazy to consider a background team on the level of the Illuminatinto actually be behind everything. On the other hand, Devon Corp has some seriously shady lore and backstory, so perhaps there is a case there? I mean it would be insane, but why not? The megaverse has huge changes to everything, so it might work. AZ is immortal and has been secrectly taking down anshadow group that controls some of the goings on of the world, with Team Flare the modt blatsnt out there situation yet, as the rightful leader of the group actually came out and tried to destroy the region. Hell, maybe Colress was an agent sent to Plasma?

at least until you think about what makes the 4 of them so much different then the rest of team plasma.
the shadow triad where saved by ghetsis & in turn became honor bound to him. they are loyal to him to a fault and don't care about anyone or anything else even going so far to try defeat the one who shattered their masters ambitions in the hopes of bringing him back to normal.

Corless on the other hand only cared about dragging out the strength of pokemon and was actually in kalos a few years before the events of B2/W2/X/Y
given that the events of X&Y happen around the same time as the events of B2W2 and the fact that B2W2 are two years after BW, odds are he was over there doing his research before even join team plasma.
A few years back, this really strange dude named Colress told me that these big stones emit some kind of special energy

also, theres a possibility that Colress is related to one of the four original Cipher Admins: Ein
also think about this: Cipher had world wide pull. something none of the other teams had.
also, cipher is the only team to capture & use multiple legendarys outside of team plasma
also this is the 5th & final also

We still say RGBY/RBY when talking about the Gen 1 games instead of ReGrBluYe/ReBluYe. Red sharing it's beginning letter with Ruby, Green with Gold, Blue with Black, and Yellow with Y...the last most being a better example.

I think Plus and Minus were just rumors. It wouldn't surprise me if they eventually became names for future games though, they sound kind of legit.

That video posted earlier about Volcanion theories... one of the good things about it is that it helped me pronounce Lysandre's name correctly lol. That is how you pronounce it, right? For the longest time I never knew how... :S

OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire, lets give you something to speculate about. You want to pay attention to timing of major points and events. Here is what's happening in the next 3 weeks.

1: All Hoopa distributions end by December. Plus, the Hoopa movie will have been aired everywhere by now. That means ORAS and Hoopa promotions are over.

2: The XYZ anime in Japan reaches a major point at Terminus Cave on X-Mas Eve. Plus on the 31st, there will be a recap special with previews of upcoming episode. Plus, The XYZ anime begins in January for USA. Remember back in December 2012 when they announced during the anime that there will be a special announcement in January 2013 that was XY. This recap special is the perfect time for something like that.

3: Volcanion was strangely announced in December. Usually they announce event legendaries in Jan/Feb like Diancie and Hoopa. Seems like they got it out of the way.

4: The holiday sales end. Why would they want to announce a new game during holidays when that could threaten XY/ORAS sales.

5: Take a peek at the Festive Feud prize. It's a Delibird with an item called Relic Gold. Relic Gold is one of the items that was found in the Abyssal Ruins in Unova. Item Description: A gold coin used in a civilization about 3,000 years ago. A maniac will buy it for a high price.

Didn't Kalos have a war 3000 years ago? I know that Relic Gold can't be sold in XY/ORAS because there is no maniac to sell it to. The games may or may not have an NPC who would know more. But to me it seems strange to give this item out with Delibirds. Especially the timing with the above events either beginning or ending. I haven't seen many people figure out the Relic Gold. Maybe you could figure out more?

Everything either ends or begins in the beginning of January. Coincidence? Sounds like the time when every country is ready to get a new game announcement.
