Well, I was kind of inspired by a mix of Disgaea and Persona for this RP. XD

PLOT
The world of Altiessa is a world that has enjoyed and endless peace for decade upon decade. Divided into six different countries with very little There is a legend, that long ago – hundreds of years in the past, in fact – the great demon king Kierticis and his seven missionaries rose from the depths of the Sephilan Crater, a hole in the Earth that was said to lead to the very center, otherwise known as Hell. They came with the most evil of intentions, the annihilation of humanity as we knew it. When nearly all hope was lost, a small group of humans took one final stand against Kierticis and his minions. These souls were crushed just as easily as all other resistance, but it was at this moment that a third party entered the fray. It is said that thousands of winged angels fell from the sky, blessing this small party of humans with their divine protection and pushing the demon back into the crater from which it came, sealing it for all eternity and purifying the land. Nobody knows what happened to the people who witnessed this event, those brave mortals, and there's no physical evidence that supports the legend was ever a reality, other than the existence of the never ending Sephilan Crater. As the final line in the legend states:
Hundreds of years later, humanity is suddenly placed in a situation which leaves them with the only option but to believe that there are indeed angels remaining, but our story begins a little ways before that.
A lot can be said about luck, in any kind of world. Sometimes it's a good thing, having a lot of luck. It can benefit you and the people around you. But, luck is cruel. It isn't always the good people who have good luck, and absolutely horrible things can happen due to the best of luck the bad people have. One spot-on example would be a citizen of Eliopia, a man known as Gerut Teff. Gerut, you see, was in the business of serial killing, and he did his job rather well. He lived alongside the Sephilian Crater, and his favorite targets were Sierrian woman. As such, he had been lucky enough to kill ninety-nine of these women, throwing each corpse down into the infinitely deep crater. Little did he know, that with each of the women he threw into that hole, the seal containing the demon Kierticis weakened more and more. When the death count finally reached 99, the seal weakened enough for the demon's missionaries to break free. Until the one hundredth Sierrian woman was sacrificed, Kierticis would not be able to break free.
What the demon DID do, however, was assign his missionaries with tasks to prepare for his arrival, with the first of these tasks being to eliminate the descendants of those mortals who had received the blessing of the angels. The demon decided, ultimately, that death was not a suitable way of dealing with them, however, he instead wanted them to suffer. To do that, all it had to do was make them its subordinates. So, the missionaries of Kierticis had their mission. They were to curse anyone who was blessed with a special curse that would take what was locked in their hearts – their personality, their feelings, their fears, their loves – and twist them perversely, changing the blessed mortals into demons. The curse would work differently depending on the subject. Those with weaker hearts would change more dramatically at a faster rate, while those with strong hearts would progress slower. Over time, they would begin to lose their sense of self, slowly giving in to their demonic side until they became suitable vassals for the Demon King.
The curse could only be cast on a full moon, and it occurred on the very next one. Cries of terror and pain echoed throughout the night as a very small portion of humanity underwent these changes, most submitting to their roles almost immediately. But others were spared from losing control due to the most unthinkable reasons…
The next you knew, you awoke in the middle of a barn somewhere deep within Cazastar's borders. You notice other around you, others who have been corrupted as well. But, you note with much relief, you still have your sanity, even though you are no longer human. You can sense that you're still changing very slowly, but not fast enough to put yourself in any kind of immediate danger. Why you were okay, you had no idea, but perhaps it was related to the winged girl asleep in a nearby pile of hay, her skin radiating unnaturally.
The World of Altiessa
All hail my map.
Ruria: The Kingdom of Ruria is a heavily forested country that borders the Cazastar Empire on the Sarq continent. Home to many flora and fauna thanks to its ridiculous number of small freshwater lakes and streams, the Kingdom – as it so commonly referred to – is known for its beauty. It is a popular tourist country thanks to this trait, so it has a booming economy. Also helping it's economy is it's lumber and fresh water exports. Ruria is under the leadership of Queen Flor Darouette, a passive woman with a love for the outdoors.
Cazastar: The Cazastar Empire borders the Kingdom of Ruria on the Sarq continent, and shares in the Kingdom's green landscape. Rather than possessing many dense forests, however, it is composed primarily of rolling hills fit for farming. As you can imagine, Cazastar's economy relies on horticulture and its lenient policies for trading with the other countries has made it fairly popular. Emperor Jean Boullard is ruler of this land, a well respected leader and a kind-hearted old man.
Melodia: The country of Melodia is a peaceful nation just to the southeast of the Sarq continent. It could easily be considered the technological country of the world, as machines such as the steam engine and early designs for a flying machine were developed here. No research is ever done on weaponry because of a peace treaty between all of the other nations. Melodia is covered in mountains, with the occasional lake scattered throughout. The capital, Alteron, is where most of the machine development is done, under the guidance of their leader, Gerard Raymond.
Tierona: The only country that could be considered anybody's "enemy", Tierona houses the Sierran people, rumored to have aided Kierticis in his campaign hundreds of years ago. There is, of course, no evidence substantiating this story, but it's enough to garner racist views against them in some people. They are often referred to as "Reds" because of the red colour of their eyes. The country itself has a cooler climate than Ruria and Cazastar, although they still do farm and trade in order to support their economy. Tierona is lead by King Malcolm Senna.
Eliopia: Housing the Sephilian Crater, Eliopia is the root country of the Kierticis legend. It is a country that has it's fundamentals built on a religion based off of some so-called teachings of the angels. Sinners were punished ridiculously, often with torture and sometimes even death. That being said, it also had the most crime-filled streets, as citizens often rebelled against the government, run by Pope Frederik Zellantia. The climate in Eliopia changes with the season, and it experiences all four. The primary source of income for the country is the production of the Angelic Scriptures, a series of books that are sold worldwide celebrating the religion of the Angels.
Engles: A country essentially cut off from the rest of the world, Engles is a land of ice and snow, and is practically uninhabitable. However, there are rumors that Sierrian refugees have attempted to relocate there.
DEMONS
Demons come in many different shapes and sizes. Some look like beasts, yet some still resemble humans. Appearance aside, there is no such thing as a pure demon. Those in the process of becoming demons will, overtime, come to look and act more and more like those of darkness, eventually slipping from the realm of mortal morals, falling into a world where morals are basically flipped. Good is bad, bad is good. Every demon possesses a special energy that allows them to use special attacks. The uses and potential are different for each demon, however.
