[PokeCommunity.com] Yacht Club Games outlines 2017 track for 'Shovel Knight' updates

In most recent news, Yacht Club Games came out recently with a slew of news about content and updates coming to their esteemed great seller Shovel Knight. As such, here are some of the updates about what's to come for Shovel Knight in 2017:
    • Body Swap Mode is completed and will release for the main Shovel Knight campaign at the same time as the release of the "Spectre Knight" campaign. It's not well known how many bodies will be swapped, but the illustration below provided by some of the devs show that Shovel Knight and Shield Knight will swap.
      Spoiler:
    • Previously Nintendo-exclusive co-op mode will be available to all other platforms as part of a free update, allowing you to play with your friends at the same time at you.
    • Shovel Knight will now be renamed to Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove, as it will eventually be a collection of different campaigns that will be playable. The vanilla campaign starring Shovel Knight will now be titled Shovel Knight: Shovel of Hope. Developers again provided screenshots of the title logos, showcasing each of the three campaigns on top of the new title logo.
      Spoiler:
    • Shovel Knight: King Knight's campaign that follows King Knight will be released at some point during 2017 as well.
    • Shovel Knight: Battle Mode where you can duel against one another with up to 4 players will release as well sometime in 2017.
    • People who own Shovel Knight already will not be charged for Treasure Trove. All content and planned campaigns will be given at no extra cost, but the whole game's price will be going up as a result if you don't own the game's price and name change in the Spring.
