Tool: YAPE (Yet Another Pokemon Editor)

This is far better than any other Pokemon editor I've found. This thing has it all, like the Pokedex data changer. It's far better than Dexter, and it can do a lot more! 10/10, and I highly recommend this program to all other Pokemon hackers that may need it! Thank you!

Actually when it comes to the Pokedex data dexter does the same as yape. Only problem with dexter is that it doesnt support FR/LG/E Because they have a slightly different format.

I should just say this.

WE SHOULD ALL use caution when using yape. I opened a ruby rom and saved without changing anything and a bunch of things got reverse in the rom. Open a clean ruby rom, save then do a compare to see what I mean. I don't know what the data that gets reversed is or weather it could mess up your ROM. Perhaps someone could clarify on what this data is and whatnot. Since the creator of this tool has not logged in and appears to have dissapeared he cant give us any explanation or fix this...

I remember reading him mentioning that in one of his prior posts and/or the readme; He said it's harmless. I'm too lazy to find exactly where it's mentioned though...
Harmless?

Well idk...

It's alot of data. I'll go through the thread later and see if I can find somethin on it.

FINALLY !
U saved my life , I needeed to change some evos and I knew YAPE , I had it on PC , but I wanted it on my laptop ! I fond it THANX

silver314, Thank you very much!
This is the best Pokémon editor I've used. I have edited over 70 new fakemon with it:P
Thanks a lot.

If you mean the item a pokemon can hold when you find it wild, then it is on the first page of the tool...
(The one you see when you boot the tool up...)
If you mean an actual item editor, like changing what certain items do, then this is not the thread to ask, go ask in the simple questions thread, or just look through the toolbox, you'll find it eventually.

do yah got a yape for fire red?

im havin trouble with it workin, its tellin me something about the framework

On the Misc. Data section, where it lists the amount of moves learnable upon level up etc. is there anyway to change those values? I need one more slot than there is for the Moves value for something I intended to do.

E; Never mind I've sorted it.

I'm having a hard time using it now.....when I try to use it the JIT debugging thing keeps on popping out and I have dloaded the .netframeskip.....can someone help me on this issue thanks and I appreciate it :)

OK, I currently has a problem on updating the charmap.ini file

One of the ROMs I have is already hacked and have the Chinese GB2312 Table built in it.

However each character took 2 HEX symbol to display, like
0x01 + 0x00='啊'
0x01 + 0x01='阿'
0x01 + 0x02='埃'
and so on

I tried to rewrite the ini file as
0x010x00='啊'
0x010x01='阿'
0x010x02='埃'

and it seems YAPE didn't recognize it because my test come out garbled.

Maybe add a multi bits support?

Don't try getting a hold of the creator of YAPE, she hasn't been online in years.
No changes to this tool are going to show up, sorry...
