[YGO] Cards you wish were playable

ITT: Are there any cards that you wish were actually playable in the current meta, but just... Aren't?

I for one, really loved the EARTH Fairies when they came out. I made a deck around them and for the most part, it worked pretty well (back then lol). That was back then, though. Now the set is near obsolete. The cards are:

Kelbek
Zolga
Agido
Keldo
Mudora

Even though the above cards have little to no synergy amongst them, I'm somehow compelled to like them. Way back two years ago I made a set to try to remedy that... And this was it:

I was thinking recently and I thought what if I could make these cards in real life and play with them. Obviously, not in tournaments or anything, but just for fun. Anyway, looking back, I felt that I needed to change some effects on the cards.

You can Normal Summon or Set this card without a Tribute. If you do, decrease this card's original ATK by 600 points. If you Tribute Summon this card with any of the following cards, apply the corresponding effects:
-- Zolga: Draw 2 cards. Then, discard 1 card.
-- Agido: Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower EARTH-type Fairy monster from your Deck or Graveyard.
-- Kelbek: Return 2 cards on your opponent's side of the Field to its owner's hand.

1500 / 800

Increase the ATK of all Fairy-type Monsters you control by 400.

You can Tribute Summon this card with any number of Tributes. If you Tribute Summon this card with any of the following cards, apply the corresponding effects (these effects are cumulative):
-- Mudora: Inflict 300 damage to your opponent for each Fairy-type monster in your Graveyard.
-- Keldo: Remove from play the top 3 cards of your opponent's Deck. For each Monster card removed, inflict 800 damage to your opponent.
-- Katya: Inflict 600 damage to your opponent for each Fairy-type monster on your side of the field.

You can activate this card when your opponent declares an attack on an EARTH-type Fairy Monster you control. Switch all of your opponent's monsters to Defense-position. They cannot change their battle positions until the End Phase. If this card is in your Graveyard and you roll 2 or below for Agido's effect, you can return this card to your Hand instead of Special Summoning a monster.

Ascension
Normal Trap
You can activate this when an EARTH-type Fairy monster you control is destroyed. Special Summon 1 Level 4 EARTH-type Fairy monster from your Deck. If this card is in your Graveyard and you roll 3 for Agido's effect, you can return this card to your Hand instead of Special Summoning a monster.

Anyway, I still need to get this set to work better with the Graveyard.

Breaker is playable in anti-meta. :P

Hmm, I would say Poison Draw Frog. Only useful for dumping in Frog FTK.

I came to this thread thinking it was going to be a discussion on the banned cards. =\

I suppose I wish all decks that aren't currently top tier were playable (or viable should I say). I really hate how the game has turned into an overcentralised piece of crap. You can't win in major tournaments without running all these new archetypes that have been introduced in the recent years.

I think the game would be so much more interesting if a lot more archetypes were viable and not just the ones you see at the major tournaments now like Infernity, Gladiator Beasts etc.

I WANT MY SKULL SERVANT DECK TO BE VIABLE.

It is viable. Recently a Spaceship deck topped in a regional (national?) with X-Sabers and such. You just have to try and have a greaaat side deck.

Oh ok I get it know xD. Um let me see...Blue Eyes Shining Dragon I suppose. Its playablle but it hard to get out making it pretty unplayable. Same goes to Dark Sage.

Yes, it was Nats and it was Alex Mitchell's Thunder Ships was in Top 64.

Well, the meta is not as bad as last format at least. I mean look at all the diversity. It used to be just Zombie LS sack.

Even Lightsworn and Blackwings are still topping, just not as much as usual. Gadget Stun, Machina Gadget and Dimensional Eatos are about on the same level two. There's really only so much you can side for.

Even listing all those decks I'm pretty sure there's a TON of stuff out there that can upset the meta. I mean morphtronics even top 8'd a regionals.

Dark Sage maybe unplayable.. because it sucks, but Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon can be used because of all the dragon support. Although I think there's a lot of better choices out there besides making a deck revolving him.

Clear World.

This card is really fun to use, but a Clear World deck is useless. Although that's probably because the only other 'Clear' card released is Clear Vice Dragon. If more of Yusuke Fujiwara's (from Yu-Gi-Oh GX) Clear cards were released, it might actually be a usable deck type.

You know, I agree with you completely but I never see Dimensional Eatos nowadays. I used to run it, but I sold it and now no one at my locals runs them.

I also wish Fortune Ladies were better. They have such a cool concept. They are playable (in the very least amount) but they could be much better.
