Let's not make the same mistake. Talking about 07 by the end of the year for 07 sort of... sucks.

So let's make a thread for 2008 when it's still early on in 2008. I know that me, icha and ACC have it at least, and hopefully Alter Ego can play some children's card game on a handheld system in the military, because we all know that children's card game solve all problems, including RL crisis when the army is needed.

Currently, Frosty is a loser and is still at the gate for world 2... still need to fight 5 times for every opponent in the Underwater in Duel World, then fight all the CPU opponents unlocked in WC mode. Stupid guardian plays by those nasty restrictions which I need to drastically modifiy my deck, and I don't have the cardpool to do so yet so that's why progress is extremely slow for me u_u

I hate my lack of good cards. I really do... I'm not even asking for good special summon. I just need better tribute monsters (I need my 2nd copy of jinzo which they refuse to give to me... then I can finally replace my Ohka).

So how is everyone else doing?

Or perhaps we can even setup some code exchange or battle here (Frosty won't be battling in awhile... I mean, I'm still using normal monsters. Yup, that's how screwed my deck is.)

Oh, I wish, I wish...but nope, I don't really see that working out. See, in the military we only get about three hours of free time in which handheld electronics are even allowed. Problem is, you usually end up spending the better part of that time in the bathroom (a facility which you have very little chance of visiting otherwise). Besides, there's the shoe-shining (especially if there's a long march next morning, because the most productive thing you can do before marching three hours in messy terrain is shining your shoes so they're nice and clean and ready to be dirtied again <.<) and every once in a while the brigade priest decides to have a time-consuming evening sermon in the hall, atheists not exempt, during which he usually spends half the time explaining how he doesn't mind evolution theory and the other half trying to convince us that evolution theory is rubbish. (Seriously, that dude needs to give evolution theory a rest. <.<) Besides, people can be summoned out into the hallway at any time for announcements, and you have to be at the ready to leap to your feet and call out "Attention" at the top of your lungs at any given time. That kind of environment is...not exactly conductive for children's card games, if you get what I mean.

So yeah, by the time I get to concentrate on children's card games again they'll probably already have released a new game. xP

Yes, getting the thread made in January is definitely better.

I'm...just playing around with the Horus/Dragon-beatdown deck I posted here, and having fun while doing it. I think I'm in World...3? 4? I'm not sure right now, but I'm in deep...in more ways than one. After all, nothing relieves stress like a children's card game!

Or perhaps we can even setup some code exchange or battle here

    Seconded.

Chaos. I'm all the way in Chaos. Of course, I got there on a minimal cardpool because I only got the packs that you receive by unlocking new worlds when I was dueling and it took me a few tries to get past some of the guardians, but I did it. Interestingly enough, I was able to pass through to the world of Order using nothing but... (wait for it)... an Amazon Beatdown. Yes. I actually used Amazons. (What? It was the only card set I had a decent pool for because I won with every structure deck pretty early on.) Once at the world of light, I switched to a counter fairy deck which was good except that I didn't have Bountiful Artemis or Volcanis the Adjucator yet. Once I beat all that, I built a Skill Drain aggro to win the final challenge and started on my way through all the worlds to pick up the packs that I missed. Right now I'm using standard Crystal Beast Swarm, but I'll try to experiment once my cardpool is opened up.

Anyway.... yah, if that Priest is as contradictory as you say about evolutionary theory he really needs to find a new topic. Either you believe Darwinian evolutionary theory or you don't. If you want a sermon that appeals to everyone, atheists included, you could always preach on the evils of fishing in another nation's territorial waters. *Brick'ed for being glib*

Still in sunlight, just cleaning up the 5 times for the world championship part against the likes of Meanae, hino, gravekeeper's chief and so on ._.

    I demand better cardpool darn it ;_;

Thinking of getting this game, but I've heard they don't have Zombie Master in it for some reason (despite having all other cards from TAEV).

    Is this true?

Not sure yet, because I haven't picked up the pack that he appears in (packs tend to be themed around a certain set of monsters in WC08). So I wouldn't know whether he shows up or not.

Still, I reccomend you get the game. If you can't use Zombie Master, oh well, there's always other decks to think about.

By the way, is it just me or is fusion hero really popular? I've run into no less then three E-Hero fusion variants centered around summoning E-Hero Wildedge, and all of them were on supposedly top players. Of course, these players had extremely high ratings to the point that I wondered if game cheats were a factor, but it was still some pretty crazy stuff. Not only that, but when I duel online a good thirty percent of the decks I run into are that type. Anyone else notice any weird deck trends?

Zombie Master is NOT in. Il Blud is, though, so you should be able to work around it...

Yes, I have noticed a bit of an abundance of E-Hero decks. ...However, the E-Hero I'm talking about is Evil Hero - Dark Gaia. Honestly, I think it might be the new "in" Tier 1 (like PCM was last banlist)...and a good use for an old personal favorite, Valkyrion.

Something else I noticed: NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER touch the Tag Duel function. 85% of the time you WILL get paired up with little kids who don't know what they're doing, and you will lose. Most decktypes get killed, and any sort of searcher you have is pretty much rendered useless.

The hero deck is the Dark Gaia OTK, which should not use Wildheart. It is in fact tier 1, and it is an OTK. Valkyrion forms the rock monster, while it's usually a lv 8 high attack power nomi fiend as the other so they are dumped safety to the graveyard for dark fusion. Evil Hero Gainer is also used to allow Dark Gaia to attack twice in the same round, which is OTK since Dark Gaia usually hits 5000+ attack. Dark Gaia may hit the offline duel soon if Hand Severing (Hand Collapse) is not a secret rare in phantom darkness, but sadly it is (or something pricy like that.)

Wildheart is popular because this metagame is high trap usage, and Wildheart is anti-trap, and easily searched. A few E-hero (not gaia) uses it too. Even recently, it was part of top 16 in a 12 monster Cosmos deck. Wildheart was at 3 in that one.

I heard that they are missing a lot of cards as always... zombie master is the most obvious one. Archfiend are all missing, and a few other OCG Promos.

Hmm, I haven't seen Gainer pop up that much. It's been mostly Gorz, Valkyrion, and lesser monsters dumped fast to toss out Dark Gaia.

...Archfiend hasn't been in ANY of the DS games, really. Of course, by what I've seen, they're more of the "hax" side of the game, which isn't really needed in a video game. Oddly enough, Arcana Force EX: The World, of all things, apparently managed to get in...

Ah ok, thanks for the info. Being a RL Zombie user, I wanted to recreate my deck in WC2008. I guess Blud will do instead of Master (despite him not being released here yet, but its a good way to try new cards.)

Zombie Master > Il Bud though. I still think that Il Bud alone will just let zombie collapse and die.

You just *need* the Zombie Master to swarm. How do you get Il Bud out to begin with? Turtle. How did you get the turtle out? Zombie Master. You can discard the turtle, bring it back out, then ram turtle into it, get out Bud, kill the monster, then score for 1800. Without zombie master, you just missed the swarm and you're now left with 1 normal monster out on the field, very vulnerable to incoming raiza or LaDD. If zombie master is still out, then you can still reduce the 2400 damage from raiza down to 600. If it's LaDD, you still got 1 monster left who can activate their special effect to start weakening the LaDD.

IMHO, Zombie is just not the same without zombie master. I'll rather lose Il Bud and keep Zombie Master, since Bud's gemini status is a low slower than what zombie master can do even if it's lv 4 and lower zombies only.

Eh, Zombie isn't my style anyway so I really don't care. I've never been much into Zombie-type monsters for whatever reason. Maybe just because using cards that represent rotting flesh doesn't really work for me. XD

Anyway, I'm playing around with a VtoZ deck. I built it originally to beat a seal challenge for VWXYZ- DCC, but I had so much fun with it that I think I'm going to use it in Duel World from now on and switch over to better decks for fighting real opponents.

Anyway, anyone willing to play a round of children's card games? Code exchanging would be nice. :3

...I need to make Zombie & V-Z decks just for fun...among others.

Oh, yeah, sure. PM me when you come online next and we can PLAY A CHILDREN'S CARD GAME!!!!

I thought that you'll like zombies ACC, since you like swarm and zombies swarm like no other.

I am personally looking forward to building a counter fairy myself. The best way to beat negation (LaDD), is to use the top of the chain in speed speed ^_^ Plus, fairies got their own sense of fun negation as well. I am so going to look forward to seeing Sky Scourage. Wonder if they included the fairy OCG promos like Splendid Venus and ANGEL 07?

Angel 07 is in there, but I haven't seen Venus yet. I'm still dueling most of the seal challenges. :3

Anyway.... I do like swarm, but my personal preference with Swarm is for Crystal Beast or Fusion. Zombies do swarm like no other decktype, but for some reason I just don't like them. Maybe it's the card art. The only zombie I've ever played in a deck has been Spirit Reaper.

I just built a weird Horus Lockdown deck and a just-for-fun E-Hero Fusion deck starring E-Hero Wildedge. I can see why people on the Leaderboard like using this deck. It's just fun to play with. :3

Cool. Horus Lockdown vs Dragun Swarm, ACC?

    I still want that PM.

Well... its only point is really "Summon Horus Lv8 by plunking down lv6 really early by any means necessary". It would be fun, but I'm stuck with a lone Cyber Dragon and the deck's current format doesn't support Treeborn Frog. Plus I'm completely defenseless on the off-chance that my opponent has a field of monsters with more than 2300 Atk. Still, might be fun... I'll PM you my friend code.

Actually, if you seriously want to duel me then your best bet is to play my Skill Drain Aggro. That one's just fun for me. *smirketh*
