Heeeey, what's up, Troy! Welcome to the forums! <3 Your username reminds me of Fairy Tail; have you watched the anime? I'm excited for the release of the anime to be back on spring time, aaah. <3
Kudos for having HG as your favourite pokemon game; it's one of my absolute favourite pokemon games too, due to it's nostalgic nature and it's new features! Definitely up there for me alongside Pokemon Emerald and Pokemon X&Y! Do you play on challenges often? I haven't done so in a while, but, they are indeed fun to play! I should try a new nuzlock sometime; those are really fuuun. Well, it sounds like you'll enjoy the Challenges board! You can make your own challenges, as well as participate in others'! Just be sure to read the guidelines before posting, because, they're of course important. :3

If you're here to make friends you'll certainly find all the buddies to befriend here and discussions to participate in. :) I've met so many wonderful people across PC and you'll be no exception, hah. Check out all the boards we have from X and Y discussions to challenges, clubs, and even forum games if that strikes your fancy.
If you're ever looking for suggestions on where to post you're more than welcome to drop off a post and let us know. We love getting to know new members and assisting with section suggestions as well as pointing them in the right direction if they're lost. So if you've questions, don't be scared to give our staff a call - we're always glad to chat, too.

Welcome to the forums, Troy! I loved HG/SS as well; they were great. I was already fimiliar with the story, since I've played G/S/C countless amount of times beforehand... nonetheless, I still enjoyed them. XD The graphics in these games were amazing, and I was a big fan of how your Pokémon followed you. Too bad that this didn't make it to future games, though. Aside from that, I also liked the PokéWalker feature (which, by the way, didn't make it to future games either), as it allowed you to level-up yourself pretty easily while walking. Just transfer your Pokémon, put the device in your pocket, and you're ready to go! Quite simple, right? :3 So, what are some of your favorite features?
Other than HG/SS, what other games did you play? Have you played X/Y yet? If not, then you have no idea what you're missing out on; you should definitely give them a try. Me, I have Pokémon Y; got it immediately after the initial release day. To finish it, it took me only about two weeks. I was extremely addicted to it. Whenever I turned the game on, it was impossible for me to just put it down. ^^" I was planning to get X as well, but never had the chance to get around to it, unfortunately. One day, I will.
Since you're a fan of challenges, you should definitely take a look into our Challenges forum as Aura suggested. You could submit your own challenges there and keep tracking of them by posting logs and such. You'll enjoy it, I'm sure.
