My updated Skill Drain Aggro for WC08, which shares the current banlist but also, annoyingly, does not have anything from Phantom Darkness outside of Dark Red Enchanter and Hand Destruction. It does, however, have a few exclusive-to-Japan cards, such as Beast King Barbaros.

    Monsters(18)-

    3x Beast King Barabaros
    2x Fusilier, the Dual-Mode Beast
    3x Nimble Momonga
    3x Giant Germ
    3x Majestic Mech-Ohka
    2x Cyber Dragon
    2x Evil Hero-Malicious Edge

    Spells (10)-

    1x Mystical Space Typhoon
    1x Heavy Storm
    3x Creature Swap
    2x Book of Moon
    1x Sealed Gold Sarcophagus
    1x Premature Burial
    1x Monster Reborn

    Traps-

    3x Skill Drain
    1x Crush Card Virus
    3x Solemn Judgment
    1x Torrential Tribute
    1x Mirror Force
    3x Dark Bribe

So yeah, there you have it. Basic philosophy behind the deck is to drop down monsters that normally have penalties associated with summoning them without tribute or other effects that only activate in the graveyard, and sealing the opponent's effects with Skill Drain. Crush Card Virus comboes with Giant Germ to wipe out high Atk threats, Solemn and Bribe protect both my monsters and my Skill Drain, Heavy Storm and MST are there to destroy any annoying stall cards, and Creature Swap and Book of Moon are maxed out because by playing Book of Moon on either Barbaros or Fusilier I can effectively double their stats, and Creature Swap plus Ohka, Germ, or Momonga equals love.

So yeah, C and C is appreciated.

Nimble Momonga boosts LP. Solemn wastes LP. Why is it here... not like you need tribute fodders. Malicious Edge also does nothing as it's just a bad version of Fusiler here, ditch them too. Giant Herm doesn't really do anything either except for a splashed Crush Card Virus and... creature swap target? I guess I'll leave them there though I'll rather take them out. Not too sure what Book of Moon is doing here, defense...?

    -3 Nimble Momonga
    -2 Evil Hero Malicious Edge
    -2 Book of Moon

What we need instead is to get some draw power to match Destiny Draw and Trade In though. Mystic Tomato and Dark Mimic Lv 3 are classical part of Skill Drain deck and the mimic works with the virus as well, as well as more swap target.

+1 Fusilier Dragon the Dual Mode Beast
    +3 Mystic Tomato
    +2 Dark Mimic Lv 3
    +1 Newdoria

    hm we really need to battle each other someday o_o;

Eh? Book of Moon is one of the better cards in the deck because of Fusilier and Barabaros. Even if Skill Drain isn't in play, by activating Book of Moon on either one of those monsters I can change their Atk (and in Fusilier's case, Def) to much higher levels. Besides, the reason I included it in the first place is because in this deck's original incarnation, YOU were the one who suggested it. XD

As for Nimble Momonga, it was included in order to boost flagging LP. Solemn wastes LP, Yeah, but coupled with Skill Drain it wastes a helluva lot. But I guess LP is expendable anyway?

Alright, taking advice. I meant to try putting in Tomato anyway.

    -3 Nimble Momonga
    -2 Evil Hero Malicious Edge
-2 Book of Moon (side-decked, or would be if I played Match duels, eh-heh)

    +3 Mystic Tomato
    +2 Dark Mimic Lv 3
    +1 Fusilier the Dual-Mode Beast
    +1 Newdoria

    Alright, anything else?

(And seconding the battle thing, I got so bored after Icha left that I RE-STARTED THE GAME just so I could play through as the girl and see what wardrobe items got unlocked if I did that. That, and my male character was kind of creepy looking. 0.o)

The "original" was in a time when we got no Dark Bribe and we don't have as many trap protection.

    Where did Icha go? o_o

I wonder why you didn't include "Gigantes". I can't imagine many people running DeDeDe. Err, a Different Dimension Deck. Sorry, I forgot Kirby wasn't present.

But yeah, you definitely have the EARTH monsters to support him.

Eh, not really. My main angle with this deck is that it combos with Crush Card Virus to wipe out the opponent's high-stat monsters while attacking them with their effects sealed. Anyway, Gigantes doesn't combo well with any deck that relies on having a continuous trap card in play because it nukes the field when destroyed, and since its effect activates in the graveyard it won't be negated by Skill Drain. 0.o

But yah, thanks for the suggestion. :3

Screw my suggestion, I made a Kirby reference! WHY DOESN'T ANYBODY NOTICE THAT?!?!?!

    *ahem*

Yeah, okay, so what do you plan on doing if your opponent's running "Remove Trap"?

Yeah, okay, so what do you plan on doing if your opponent's running "Remove Trap"?

As opposed to Mystical Space Typhoon, Dust Tornado, and Heavy Storm? Two of which are standard in many decks? Then I LOL at them for playing a horrendously situational card and proceed to screw them anyway by swapping my Majestic Mech-Ohka over to their side of the field and watching it blow up in their face. XD

Seriously, though, 3x Dark Bribe and 3x Solemn Judgment are there for all my negating needs. And honestly, by the time someone draws that particular card, one of three things have happened:

-I've Crush-Carded them, and they are staring at a 1900 Atk Beast King Barbaros.

-Beast King Barbaros or Fusilier have already been summoned, and their Atk is already maxed out, which doesn't change when Skill Drain gets nuked.

-I've already gained way too much field presence for the opponent to do anything about it.

Plus, there's a way for me to switch this deck to a completely different decktype with a little side-decking. *winks* :3
